The NFL has had its good seasons, but this year it has let me down. Where is the drama? Where is the excitement? No arch rivals since Tom Brady is out. This Florida Gators Quarterback will become only the second player to ever receive two Heisman trophies. The other was running back Archie Griffin of Ohio State. Tim Tebow won it last year as a sophomore becoming the youngest player to ever win the prestigious award. He is in good standing to make history. The Wisconsin Badgers were ranked number eight in the fourth week of this year's college football season. Now they are 1-5 in conference and at the bottom of the Big Ten teams. That is one of the biggest drops I've ever seen for almost any team. It compares to the Michigan Wolverines dropping out of the rankings last year after losing to Appalachian State. Anyone that had any doubts about the Texas Longhorns being at number one can now forget them. Texas showed that they were tenacious and not letting go of their position on top of the ranking charts. Its hard to say with the cheapest tickets going for almost $200 that those people got their money's worth. They did get it, if you can put a price on awe-inspiring football. It's not many times I get to go to Dallas cowboys games. I had been to one about 5 years ago for the Thanksgiving game and then also a preseason game two years ago. Tickets are getting more and more expensive and they are only going to get worse when the new stadium arrives next year. The Cowboys must have listen to my last post about them. The USC Trojans lost on the road to the Oregon State Beavers on Thursday night football. They lost to an unranked team that didn't even have a shred of hope to defeat these rock stars of football.
