Even while defending a goal, the players should all be inspired to think and act like attackers. Where does the offensive attack begin? I... more...

Mark Cuban is the owner of the Dallas Mavericks. He is an American billionaire entrepreneur and he is only 49 years old. He not only owns the Dallas Mavericks but he also owns 2929 entertainment and is a chairman of HD net. His net worth is around $2.3 billion. Mark Cuban went through a tough chain of business id... more...

Kobe Bryant Traded!
Recreation and Leisure » Sports » Basketball | By William Bishop @ Tuesday, 21st August 2007 @ 8:08 PM

Kobe Bryant has become one of the biggest jokes of the NBA. I know he is one of the best players, I guess, but he cannot carry a team like Michael Jordan did. People try to say that Michael Jordan had Scottie Pippen, Horace Grant, BJ Armstrong, Tony Kukoc, Ron Harper, and Dennis Rodman. What happened though when all these players went to other teams? They were terrible. If Kobe Bryant could carry this team it would actually amaze me and then I might consider him to be one of the best ... more...

Dress For Success
Recreation and Leisure » Sports » Basketball | By Jim Brown @ Tuesday, 17th July 2007 @ 8:01 PM

As we grow up we all learn the adage, "Don't judge a book by its cover." However, we also learned through life experience that a book with a cover that is tattered and torn smudged with dirt and in poor condition is not something you just bought in the store. For good or for bad our idealistic understanding must combine with life experience and teach us that more often than not, things really are as they appear. The tension between these two understandings has come to a head... more...

Establishing a Practice Schedule for Basketball
Recreation and Leisure » Sports » Basketball | By Jimmy Cox @ Thursday, 19th April 2007 @ 11:39 AM

I begin our practice at 3:20 and continue until 5:15 or 5:30, depending on the work planned for the day. I conduct several game type scrimmages at night before the opening game. It is my sincere belief that proper pra... more...
