Meribel is situated in eastern France, in the Allues region of the Alps close to the Swiss border. It was another great race weekend for the McLaren team in Hungary. Lewis Hamilton maintained his lead for the championship title and Heikki Kovalainen took the checkered flag. The McLaren drivers dominated the track during practice and qualifying. It was a sad day when Michael Jordan first retired from basketball. (Not so sad when he retired from baseball or the second time from basketball.)
