Ask anyone you see how the economy is doing and there is a good chance he or she will tell you it's terrible! At this point in time, it is a fair assessment the economic conditions have softened, but the truth is we are a long way away from a lousy economy. Wow, what a week in the news; Eliot Spitzer, Geraldine Ferraro, Tony Rezko, Jeremiah Wright, and gas prices jumping to record highs. The biggest news so far this election, is former front runner Mitt Romney dropping out of the race. Where will this lead the country? In the past few years our elected Republicans have completely turned away from Conservative principles and have actually promoted Liberal doctrine. U.S. Congressman Tom Tancredo made the statement today that all of the country of Mexico is a drug cartel. I wished he would have emailed me before he made that statement and wish also he would lay off the sinsemilla. Are we missing the big picture in the debate over immigration reform? I'm not just talking about the misguided politicians who tried to shove a ridiculous amnesty bill down our throats. I'm certain that if I asked around, that number would increase after people see the current polls regarding Iraq. Going to Rasmussen Reports, it appears that only 32% of America thinks we can win in Iraq, yet 51% say that we should wait until September before making major policy change. September is of course when the Commander in Iraq will give his update to Congress regarding progress against the terrorists who have been murdering Iraqi civilians. Not only did Hillary Clinton announce that she plans on turning our capitalist system into a communist system, she lied her backside off while doing so. I'll go over the highlights. She claimed that family incomes have decreased $1,300 in the past 6 years. New jobs pay on average 21% less than the jobs that have been lost. How many times have you been watching or listening to a left wing pundit when they accuse the right of fear mongering? It happens quite a bit, I have even heard it at work. Very little media coverage went into three separate terrorist leaders thanking the US for installing a democratic majority. Sometimes the pen used to sign a document in DC has something to it. I'm not certain of the history of the pen used by Pelosi yesterday to sign the "Surrender to al Qaeda Bill", but I did catch an interesting fact about the pen Bush used to veto the bill. The pen was given to Bush by Robert Derga. Robert spoke to the President at the white house two weeks ago. He asked Bush to promise to use this pen for the veto, and yesterday, called Bush to remind him to use the pen. more...

Later this month the Republican presidential candidates will participate in debate in Colombia, South Carolina. This debate will allow Americans to see and hear what each candidate brings to the Presidential table. Perhaps there will be a leader who comes out of this debate as a favorite.
