Today's Mortgage Interest Rates And The Health Of The Economy
Politics » Conservative | By Ed Lathrop @ Friday, 25th April 2008 @ 12:18 PM

Ask anyone you see how the economy is doing and there is a good chance he or she will tell you it's terrible! At this point in time, it is a fair assessment the economic conditions have softened, but the truth is we are a long way away from a lousy economy. A lousy economy is usually marked by high unemployment, negative Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and inflation. Inflation means high interest rates. None of these things are occurring in our economy today! The economy ha... more...

Current Events Harm The Housing Market
Politics » Conservative | By Fritz Pfister @ Wednesday, 26th March 2008 @ 8:07 AM

Wow, what a week in the news; Eliot Spitzer, Geraldine Ferraro, Tony Rezko, Jeremiah Wright, and gas prices jumping to record highs. What impact do these people and events have upon the housing market? Plenty. Experts were surprised this week to learn that the predicted increase in retail sales in February never materialized as retail sales fell .6% percent. What drives the economy? Consumer spending. It appears the higher cost of energy and food is causing the American consumer to pull b... more...

Hillary & Barack Sweeping Kids Safety Under the Political Rug?
Politics » Conservative | By Greg Writer @ Tuesday, 25th March 2008 @ 11:02 AM

Hillary Clinton's camp came up with an impressive Internet Safety Guide that no one really knows about. Why isn't she isn't talking about it? Barack Obama lists the topic of Internet safety for our children and families as one of importance in his technology issues section of his official website, while John McCain states, Children are our most valuable asset in his protecting kids from internet pornography and sexual predators section of his official website. So why are... more...

Right Shows The Left How To Hit The Rich
Politics » Conservative | By Roger Munns @ Monday, 24th March 2008 @ 11:15 AM

For decades left of centre political parties in Europe have been trying to tax the most affluent in society, but have been scared off from doing their worst by centre-right Conservative Parties and the majority of the media with threats of how it would irrevocably damage their economies with a flight of capital abroad. And politicians from both the left and the right have seen globalisation and the free movement of capital and people as key to improving economic growth, allowing investors... more...

John McCain Is In For a Rough Ride
Politics » Conservative | By Alex Nobles @ Friday, 29th February 2008 @ 1:44 AM

The biggest news so far this election, is former front runner Mitt Romney dropping out of the race. Where will this lead the country? Will Huckabee or Ron Paul step up and seriously challenge John McCain, or will the party just join together to beat the democrats? The longer Obama and Hillary are attacking each other the better it is for the republicans... What is the only problem? John McCain just does not appeal to the conservative base like Mitt Romney did. I am finding myself h... more...

What Does L.I.A.R. Stand For And How Will It Affect The 2008 Presidential Elections?
Politics » Conservative | By John DeJong @ Tuesday, 26th February 2008 @ 7:18 PM

In the past few years our elected Republicans have completely turned away from Conservative principles and have actually promoted Liberal doctrine. We have seen this in the out-of-control spending and unjustified beliefs in junk science and more government control of our lives. What was once a Republican election victory through the, "Contract with America" concept has now become the Death Warrant of the same Party. The question is why? Why did the Republicans who lost all of the... more...

Abortion: Legalized Child Sacrifice On The Altar Of Humanism
Politics » Conservative | By Michele F. Richardson @ Tuesday, 29th January 2008 @ 11:03 AM

How ironic is it that millions of babies are murdered every year in the name of human rights? How is it that we, Americans especially, proudly call ourselves sophisticated and cultured while continuing to worship in the temple of humanism? Humanism is a god -- little "g". It is lustful and insatiable. Humanism is deceptive in its premise and destructive in its course. Humanism is powerful enough to convince you that life is not life, death is not death, and that education and ... more...

The Corporate Income Tax - Investor Enemy Number Two
Politics » Conservative | By Steve Selengut @ Friday, 18th January 2008 @ 1:26 PM

The Investor's Eye view of politics is a simplistic, practical, dot-connecting approach to sorting things out so that win/win change can be considered. Real World politics is not concerned with such things, and that is one of the most serious problems facing investors today. As outlined in Investment Politics 2008, there are at least ten issues that require government action if we are to maintain our competitive position in the World Economy. Most of these are interrelated and need to be ac... more...

Investors For The Fair Tax Unite
Politics » Conservative | By Steve Selengut @ Thursday, 10th January 2008 @ 4:53 PM

The vast majority of Americans are investors, although many don't realize it. The vast majority of Americans are creative with their 1040 numbers, although most won't admit it. The majority of Americans would agree that investing, retirement planning, and estate preservation would be easier to manage if the Internal Revenue Code was comprehensible. A landslide of American voters would elect any candidate championing IRC replacement surgery. All of us aspire to some degree of e... more...

U.S. Congressman Tom Tancredo Proves Smoking Dope and Politics Bad Mix
Politics » Conservative | By Jack Deal @ Friday, 16th November 2007 @ 10:50 PM

U.S. Congressman Tom Tancredo made the statement today that all of the country of Mexico is a drug cartel. I wished he would have emailed me before he made that statement and wish also he would lay off the sinsemilla. It has to be affecting his judgment as evidenced by his making a goofy statement like that. Had he only contacted me I would have told him that my mother-in-law and sister-in-law aren't involved with El Chapo, Los Hermanos Arrellano Felix or La Reyna Del Pacifico so... more...

What Everyone Missed in the Immigration Debate
Politics » Conservative | By Douglas Ragan @ Tuesday, 24th July 2007 @ 1:32 PM

Are we missing the big picture in the debate over immigration reform? I'm not just talking about the misguided politicians who tried to shove a ridiculous amnesty bill down our throats. Have we the people allowed what really happened to go over our heads? This recently defeated attempt to allow millions of illegal aliens to get around the law is not the first of its kind. The conservative hero Ronald Reagan allowed this on a smaller scale in 1986. What was different back then? <... more...

At Least One Voter Confused on Iraq War Polls
Politics » Conservative | By Douglas Ragan @ Thursday, 19th July 2007 @ 7:36 PM

I'm certain that if I asked around, that number would increase after people see the current polls regarding Iraq. Going to Rasmussen Reports, it appears that only 32% of America thinks we can win in Iraq, yet 51% say that we should wait until September before making major policy change. September is of course when the Commander in Iraq will give his update to Congress regarding progress against the terrorists who have been murdering Iraqi civilians. This goes hand in hand with... more...

Hillary Announces Her Intent To Turn America Into A Communist Nation
Politics » Conservative | By Douglas Ragan @ Wednesday, 6th June 2007 @ 9:40 AM

Not only did Hillary Clinton announce that she plans on turning our capitalist system into a communist system, she lied her backside off while doing so. I'll go over the highlights. She claimed that family incomes have decreased $1,300 in the past 6 years. New jobs pay on average 21% less than the jobs that have been lost. There has been a 4% increase in the percentage of workers falling below the poverty line. She claims that all of this is due to tax cuts for the rich and other bad... more...

The Politics of Fear and the Fort Dix Six
Politics » Conservative | By Douglas Ragan @ Thursday, 10th May 2007 @ 10:39 AM

How many times have you been watching or listening to a left wing pundit when they accuse the right of fear mongering? It happens quite a bit, I have even heard it at work. Very little media coverage went into three separate terrorist leaders thanking the US for installing a democratic majority. When I pointed out the very obscure articles to a co-worker he accused the writers of fear mongering. When the Administration defends its perfectly Constitutional program of listening to phone calls made... more...

Have You Been Called a Traitor?
Politics » Conservative | By Douglas Ragan @ Wednesday, 9th May 2007 @ 10:11 AM

Are you a traitor because you object to the war? Are you a traitor because you disagree with the President? Are you a traitor because you question the strategy or the tactics used in the war? The answer is simple, the answer is no. And guess what, no one, not one person, has ever said otherwise. No one who supports the mission of the war in Iraq has ever called someone a traitor simply because they have a difference of opinion. Not one person who supports the mission has ever ques... more...

The Veto Pen
Politics » Conservative | By Douglas Ragan @ Friday, 4th May 2007 @ 9:50 AM

Sometimes the pen used to sign a document in DC has something to it. I'm not certain of the history of the pen used by Pelosi yesterday to sign the "Surrender to al Qaeda Bill", but I did catch an interesting fact about the pen Bush used to veto the bill. The pen was given to Bush by Robert Derga. Robert spoke to the President at the white house two weeks ago. He asked Bush to promise to use this pen for the veto, and yesterday, called Bush to remind him to use the pen. more...

An Open Invitation to the Republican Presidential Candidates
Politics » Conservative | By John DeJong @ Wednesday, 2nd May 2007 @ 12:03 AM

Later this month the Republican presidential candidates will participate in debate in Colombia, South Carolina. This debate will allow Americans to see and hear what each candidate brings to the Presidential table. Perhaps there will be a leader who comes out of this debate as a favorite. Or there may just be what the Democrats have offered, which is nothing but fax-blast talking points with little honest substance. We hope someone stands out and that person must deliver answers which lock-step ... more...

Bayonets Not Bombs
Politics » Conservative | By Chris Pizzo @ Tuesday, 24th April 2007 @ 5:11 PM

Seems Iraq is not a "popular war". Which basically means that because we aren't full-out winning the war by the time the nightly news stops for a commercial break, people think twice about it? And as of recently, I've been seeing many people make comparisons between Iraq and Vietnam. (Especially from the criminals in D.C. who're using the unpopular war opinion to further their own political careers) Senator Chuck Hagel of Nebraska warned that President Bush'... more...

The Final Loss of Credibility
Politics » Conservative | By Kelsey Hilderbrand @ Monday, 26th June 2006 @ 8:34 AM

Here it is, the final loss of all credibility in complaints of how the US treats detainees, Prisoners of War, and militants. For years I have been listening to new report after news report of how badly the United States has treated hostile militants and how in hospitable we are to those under our care. For a while, I thought they may have some validity, but no more. I realize now, they are not concerned with the care of human beings nor the preservation of human life but are solely and 100% b... more...

Challenge from a Right Wing Nut Job
Politics » Conservative | By Kelsey Hilderbrand @ Wednesday, 31st May 2006 @ 4:02 AM

Let's try something new shall we? I got this idea after spending a weekend with my wife's family. The Andersons are great group of folks who I enjoy spending time with, however, they are about as politically divided a family as I have ever seen. This is not just your standard "this is my view, this is your view lets have a drink and discuss it" type of family. Politics are a sport and are argued as vehemently as two teams fighting like the score is tied with 30 seconds to go in... more...
