Achieve Your Ambition & Belief In Yourself
Personal Development » Coaching | By Stephen Campbell @ Saturday, 23rd June 2007 @ 12:21 AM

Fundamental to success in any vocation whatever is self-confidence. Unless a man believes firmly in his ability to succeed he can not achieve much. And, unfortunately, the tendency of many people is to personal underestimation. Looking about them, in fact, the generalty of men fix their gaze wonderingly on some outstanding figure in their line of work, some acknowledged leader. "I wish I could do what he has done," they say to themselves. "But it is of course impossible. He ha... more...

Lemonade and The Universal Law of Attraction
Personal Development » Coaching | By Paul Warren @ Saturday, 23rd June 2007 @ 12:16 AM

Here's a great parable on how you can use the universal law of attraction in your life. There was a gentleman, let's call him George, who was going through a tough financial streak. One day there was a knock at the door and, by the time he answered it, the caller had vanished. All that was left was a crate of lemons. Now George had never heard about the universal law of attraction. But he did know that if you add enough ingredients to lemons, you can make lemonade. It... more...

How Ideas Come With Achievement
Personal Development » Coaching | By Stephen Campbell @ Friday, 22nd June 2007 @ 11:32 PM

To say that men of genius owe their achievements chiefly to the extent to which they supplement conscious effort by subconscious mental action, is by no means to say that a man of genius is essentially of different constitution from the ordinary man. Every man, as a matter of fact, has some degree of access to his subconscious, in his waking as in his sleeping moments. Take your own case as an illustration. Over and over again, it is safe to say, you have had ideas unexpectedly occur to ... more...

Believing In Yourself & Your Ambition
Personal Development » Coaching | By Stephen Campbell @ Friday, 22nd June 2007 @ 11:30 PM

Of particular significance to the man eager to get on in the world is the new light their investigations have thrown on the faculties of observation, memory, and imagination. Perhaps you who read these lines account yourself most unobserving, forgetful, and un- imaginative. The truth of the matter seems to be that the subconscious part of you perceives everything that comes within range of your sense organs, forgets nothing, and is un- commonly imaginative. As is, for example, strikingly demonst... more...

Aids To Real Thinking For Achieving Your Ambition
Personal Development » Coaching | By Stephen Campbell @ Friday, 22nd June 2007 @ 11:29 PM

Most people go through life without doing much thinking really worthy of the name. They constitute by far the largest of the three classes into which all mankind may be divided. The first of these is made up of people who think energetically and effectively, testing every proposition by the principles of logical reasoning. The second class comprises people whose thinking, as a rule, is colored and weakened by their prejudices and prepossessions. Into the third class fall people with little conti... more...

How To Control Your Thinking
Personal Development » Coaching | By Stephen Campbell @ Friday, 22nd June 2007 @ 11:27 PM

Said an old Hindu sage who lived so long ago that his name has been forgotten: " Let the wise man without fail restrain his mind." His counsel would have been better if he had said: " Let the wise man without, fail control his mind;" and perhaps that is what he meant, for his real meaning may have been lost in erroneous translation. Ever since his time, and probably for a long while before, there have been men who recognized with more or less distinctness and earnestness the advi... more...

Leading Your Way To Success
Personal Development » Coaching | By Jimmy Cox @ Monday, 21st May 2007 @ 10:44 PM

Unless you are a leader in your work, you cannot succeed greatly because great people know how to lead others. If your work is making, handling or creating things, or if it is using words, or if it is managing and directing people, you do not succeed unless you lead in your particular line of work. There are thousands-yes, millions-of people who work well and faithfully from youth to old age. Yet, they never attain to that which we call success. By efficient work, they just hold their own... more...

How To Grow Your Wealth With A Good Mental Diet...
Personal Development » Coaching | By Stephen Pierce @ Monday, 21st May 2007 @ 2:56 AM

It is a common misconception that wealth (and the attraction of it) is all about luck... where you were born... where we live, or your inherent good looks. These are complete falsehoods. Prosperity (and it's creation) is all about how you maintain your diet, your own mental diet. As the saying goes, "GIGO" (garbage in, garbage out). This is most apt for the habitual way you think. If we let it... we can be blasted by information that promotes negativity, limita... more...

Develop Winning People Skills The Smart Way
Personal Development » Coaching | By Peter Murphy @ Friday, 18th May 2007 @ 2:15 PM

There is a common mistake many people make when they want to improve their people skills. You may even make the same mistake at times without noticing. This mistake involves focusing so much on your apparent weaknesses that you neglect your strengths and weaken yourself even further. Self improvement then becomes a painful introspective experience that never improves your life. How to know if you make this mistake... Are you overly aware of your so called weaknesses while te... more...

Who is Your Guru, Really?
Personal Development » Coaching | By Piercarla Garusi @ Thursday, 10th May 2007 @ 11:18 AM

According to a dictionary, personal development is the 'development of one's capabilities or potentialities'. So, your personal development is about the development of your person, it is about you becoming the best you can be and living the best possible life. I am sure you would agree that in order to become the best you, you need to know yourself; you need to know who you are and where you are now; and in order to live the best life you need to know which life you want to live a... more...

What is Winning the Game of Business?
Personal Development » Coaching | By Stephen Kennedy @ Thursday, 10th May 2007 @ 10:36 AM

For years I thought success meant accomplishment in business, making lots of money, and earning prestige and status. And, if I did all of these things, I'd be rewarded by feeling great. I had a beautiful wife, two healthy, wonderful kids. We even had the dog and the white picket fence. All my life, I'd been taught that goals like these, when achieved, guaranteed good feelings. So I believed, worked very hard, and here's what I accomplished: -- A 5-million d... more...

You Are The Architect
Personal Development » Coaching | By Rorree Tillman @ Monday, 30th April 2007 @ 9:35 AM

To have prosperity in life you must understand the Law of Attraction. Everything in your life was invited, created and attracted by you through your thoughts, words and emotions. You actually Designed Your Life. Some people are not aware of it and are actually kind of scared when they realize that they are responsible for their lives. All of the good and what you might call bad things were attracted to you by you. We all have conscious choices, but most of us are not aware that we make... more...

How to Help Our Human Planet
Personal Development » Coaching | By Piercarla Garusi @ Wednesday, 25th April 2007 @ 11:15 AM

I remember once after one of my talks, someone came up to me asking: 'You were saying that I can have what I want. Well, what I want is peace; how can I have it?' And my answer at that time was: 'Start from the world around you.' But now I think I have another answer also... At the moment there is a lot of talking about global warming, hunger and poverty, but I would like to focus the attention also on something else. Sometimes I hear people who are conc... more...

Attracting More Money!
Personal Development » Coaching | By Jon Mercer @ Thursday, 19th April 2007 @ 11:34 AM

When it comes to money, most of us were raised to believe there is a lack of abundance in the world--a limited amount of money and resources that we must fight over like rats competing over scraps of cheese. Not that many years ago, I had this same belief. I remember when I first read The Science of Getting Rich, by Wallace Wattles. This classic work is based on the philosophy of Monism which claims there is no limit to the abundance of the world, and whatever appears in our lives is the ... more...

Learning To Respond To Past Memories
Personal Development » Coaching | By Jimmy Cox @ Thursday, 19th April 2007 @ 11:23 AM

I want you to try to return to your cradle. Do you remember the time when you lay in the cradle kicking up your toes - and possibly kicking up a row at the same time? Do you remember the time when you were taking your first lesson in walking, and the floor seemed to wobble a good deal, and you tried to steady things by balancing yourself a little heavily on one leg and then on the other, and finally finished up by making a slight dent in the linoleum with the point of your poor little nos... more...

Aggressive and Assertive: You Can't Be Both
Personal Development » Coaching | By A Raymond Randall @ Thursday, 12th April 2007 @ 7:04 PM

During a girl's high school finals basketball game, I heard some spectators talking about the youngest player. "She's so aggressive for a small player." Another said, "She jumps so high when rebounding, and comes down with the ball." One watcher must have been to the previous play-off game. He said, "She was high-scorer in the last game. What do you think makes her so good? She's aggressive and fun to watch." Aggressive or assertive? Confident or... more...

Why Coaching is the Way to Go in Team Management
Personal Development » Coaching | By Louis Bonaventura @ Tuesday, 10th April 2007 @ 5:03 PM

When you hear the word "coach", what comes first into your mind? Do you picture a basketball team with a man/woman shouting out directions? Or perhaps a football team with a man/woman pacing back and forth and calling out the names of the players? Coaching is no longer reserved to sports teams. It is now one of the key concepts in leadership and management. So why is coaching popular? Coaching levels the playing field. Coaching is one of the six emotional leadership style... more...

No Matter Where You Are At In Your Life, YOU CAN
Personal Development » Coaching | By Piercarla Garusi @ Monday, 9th April 2007 @ 4:49 PM

I was reading through some statistics regarding depression and the percentage of people suffering from this has increased substantially. And I remembered what I often hear from people: 'I have failed in my life' or 'I have not achieved anything,'or 'I experienced such and such in my past and it will jeopardize my entire life',or 'I have made a lot of mistakes',or 'I have been feeling depressed or anxious for so many years and I can't change.'... more...

The Law of Attraction - It Does Not Work
Personal Development » Coaching | By Ronald Finklestein @ Monday, 2nd April 2007 @ 11:42 AM

At least not the way it is being taught by the thousands of people on "The Secret" bandwagon. To me a law is measurable, repeatable and predictable. Let me explain. If I think about having a million dollars in the bank, will it happen just by my focusing on it? I do not think so. If I dream about a date with Pamela Anderson, I can make it happen. Not likely. Even with the examples above, does the Law of Attraction make sense? Sure. Sometimes. It can h... more...
