Personal Development » Coaching | By Lee Colan @ Thursday, 15th June 2006 @ 1:03 PM We live in a society defined by its insecurities. We fear the loss of our jobs, our health, our money, our relationships, our sense of control. Here is a sampling of some less common fears to illustrate how far human fears reach: - Dendrophobia – fear of trees - Chronomentrophobia – fear of clocks - Pentheraphobia – fear of a mother-in-law - Consultophobia – fear of management consultants (I made that one up!) - Xanthrophobia – fear of the color yellow - Blennophobi... more...
How We Evaluate Ourselves
Personal Development » Coaching | By Robert Elias Najemy @ Thursday, 15th June 2006 @ 4:40 AM We need to understand how we value ourselves and hopefully heal ourselves from an epidemic of self-doubt and self-rejection. We are spirit which is eternal and divine. Being divine in nature there is no question about our worthiness. As spirit we are "encased" in the personality, which is our temporary projection into the physical and mental dimensions. This personality is encased in a circle of beliefs, which define and limit it. These basic beliefs mature and manifest as needs a... more...

Understanding Self-Doubt, Shame, Guilt, Self-Rejection, Unworthiness
Personal Development » Coaching | By Robert Elias Najemy @ Thursday, 8th June 2006 @ 12:23 PM This is a part of a series of articles with questions, which will help us understand our emotions and how we can free ourselves from unwanted ones. Some useful questions: 1. " Which are the events, situations or thoughts which trigger some level of self-doubt?" (We will, for the purpose of brevity, refer to all these emotions as self-doubt. You may replace this word with any other which might be more appropriate for you.) 2. "What do you believe in those situatio... more...

Personal Development » Coaching | By Robert Elias Najemy @ Thursday, 8th June 2006 @ 5:15 AM We occasionally experience internally conflicting needs, desires or beliefs. In such inner conflicts, when our "sub-personalities" or "personas" have conflicting needs, we are not sure what to do or which decision to make. Some examples of those conflicts are listed below. As you read through them, consider whether or not you have any similar conflicts. SOME SAMPLE CONFLICTS Let us look at some examples of the inner conflicts that may disturb our peace. <... more...
EFT for Inner Conflicts - part 2
Personal Development » Coaching | By Robert Elias Najemy @ Thursday, 8th June 2006 @ 3:25 AM
EMPLOYING EFT ON EACH SUB-PERSONALITY INDIVIDUALLY Attention: If this work becomes disturbing or confusing, and thus it is best done with the help of a EFT professional experienced in this type of analysis, dialoguing and psychodrama. Before moving on to perform the EFT, it would be beneficial to fill out the following questionnaire which will help us establish a clearer understanding of which personas we want to reconcile and what their real needs, emotions and beliefs are. more...
EFT & Opening to Love
Personal Development » Coaching | By Robert Elias Najemy @ Wednesday, 7th June 2006 @ 6:39 PM We can use EFT to remove our various obstacles towards experiencing love, acceptance and unity with loved ones and other important persons in our lives. We might be talking here about love partners, children, parents, siblings, friends or coworkers. Before explaining this process, I would like to point out that we will very likely need to engage in this same process towards loving and accepting ourselves if we are to succeed in loving others in this way. This is true because our greatest ... more...
E.F.T. and Forgiveness
Personal Development » Coaching | By Robert Elias Najemy @ Wednesday, 7th June 2006 @ 5:33 PM We have found EFT to be a wonderful aid towards forgiveness. As with al goals we simply need to realize the obstacles towards letting go our resentment and then forgiveness is natural. Forgiveness, love and peace are our natural inner qualities. They are obstructed only when our beliefs and fears cause us to engage in various emotional defense mechanisms. Thus, by methodically removing with EFT each such belief and emotion forgiveness and love become our natural state. Here is a proce... more...
Sex Eros amd Love on The Spiritual Path
Personal Development » Coaching | By Robert Elias Najemy @ Wednesday, 7th June 2006 @ 12:57 PM Sex, "erotas" and love are our most powerful drives. They are simultaneously the sources of our greatest happiness and our deepest pain. How can we balance these energies in our lives, put them into perspective and experience their benefits without their disadvantages? (We use the Greek word "erotas" to describe the state of "romantic love" or falling in love or being infatuated with another person, so that we are excited and stimulated on all levels by our contact with ... more...
Working with Aspects of Emotions with EFT
Personal Development » Coaching | By Robert Elias Najemy @ Wednesday, 7th June 2006 @ 8:53 AM As we work with EFT, we will often observe changes in emotions, aspects and even in the events, situations and the issues themselves. In such cases, we might find it beneficial to flow with those changes addressing each obstacle as it appears. We must however always have in mind the unresolved emotions, aspects and issues and return to check them and resolve them. A. Working Directly With the Emotion Note: We use two phrases when doing the set up. A. We rub on th... more...

EFT and Obstacles to Communication
Personal Development » Coaching | By Robert Elias Najemy @ Tuesday, 6th June 2006 @ 3:51 AM One of our main obstacles to loving and harmonious relationships is our inability to communicate effectively. I have seen many relationships between love partners, parents and children and siblings where there was mutual love, but many conflicts because of their inability to clearly express their needs, feelings and beliefs. I will always remember a couple who had been married for 40 years and came to discuss various conflicts. I asked each to share with the other what he or she needed. T... more...
EFT & Finding our Purpose in Life - part 1
Personal Development » Coaching | By Robert Elias Najemy @ Monday, 5th June 2006 @ 1:24 AM The famous psychiatrist Victor Frankl was a believer in «Logo therapy» from the two Greek words "logos" (reason) and "therapeia" (therapy). He believed that if a person could find a reason to live, a meaning to his or her life, then he or she would have a reason to be well and come into harmony. Many of us are discontented with our work and / or our lifestyle, but few of us can identify what it is we really want. Fewer still have the courage to make the changes necessary ... more...

Be A Dreamer
Personal Development » Coaching | By Katheryn Hoban @ Sunday, 4th June 2006 @ 2:36 PM Don’t settle for mediocrity, and don’t settle for just getting by. The universe wants to give you everything in abundance and wants to give you the life that you dream of. So many people, including myself, at certain times settled for a nine to five job, getting the bills paid, and watching their dreams fade. Don’t be afraid to fail, or fear that you are asking for too much. Ask, put it out there, visualize it, and keep dreaming about it, keep working towards it until it becomes a re... more...
As Always Learn to Develop Patience
Personal Development » Coaching | By Katheryn Hoban @ Sunday, 4th June 2006 @ 9:13 AM It has taken me a long time to develop patience, and I continue to develop it. It might take you a long time too. The only way you develop patience is by going through challenging or tedious efforts. Patience brings you out on the other side with a sense of achievement and renewed strength. Sometimes to accomplish big changes you have to be patient with the little details: in tedious routines, with challenging people and challenging situations, until you get a breakthrough. Roadbloc... more...
The Love Focus
Personal Development » Coaching | By Robert Elias Najemy @ Sunday, 4th June 2006 @ 7:59 AM Daily positive projection will help us cultivate feelings of openness and love with the people and situations we have had difficulty remaining open to until now. We can bring five positive qualities of that person to our mind as we create a positive image of that person, then send him or her love and light, and imagine ourselves approaching him or her with love. The following positive projection, the love focus, is an excellent way to increase our love. It can be employed once or twice a ... more...
Flowing Through the Labyrinth of the Mind with EFT
Personal Development » Coaching | By Robert Elias Najemy @ Sunday, 4th June 2006 @ 5:06 AM When employing EFT with clients, feel that, with each round, we are peeling off layers of emotions and beliefs based on incorrect childhood (or from the past in general) programming and conclusions about ourselves, life and others. With the effective removal of the disturbed or distorted energy fields associated with each problem, we discover the intricate and often strange and surprising associations, which have developed through our past experiences thus creating our present physical a... more...
Working With Compassion
Personal Development » Coaching | By Katheryn Hoban @ Sunday, 4th June 2006 @ 3:53 AM If you develop compassion for people and all creatures you can reach out to them. You can offer help to them. You will be able to feel their situation. You will see them clearly not for the circumstances that they find themselves but in who they can become. You will recognize the beauty inside of them. You will recognize that they are very much like yourself. You can empathize with them. Once you do that you may be able to help them affect a change. Or do it for them. You can have com... more...
Happiness Is Diversity
Personal Development » Coaching | By Kathy Gates @ Sunday, 4th June 2006 @ 3:19 AM Low carb is not the right diet for everyone. Bungee-jumping is not the sport for everyone. Condo living is not adequate living arrangements for everyone. And there is no set blueprint for your life either. You have needs, wants, dreams, and a history that make your life different than anyone else’s. Life is about diversity. Formal Victorian style is not at all the right approach to a home for me with large dogs and foster kittens, but my streamlined casual style works well. ... more...
