Internet Marketing » Search Engine Marketing | By Mark Kimathi @ Wednesday, 25th June 2008 @ 1:45 AM

The discussion of Search Engines (SE) may sound way off for a local offline business. Infact most will only consider a website if their business goes beyond the country's borders and particularly if they are targeting markets overseas. This explains the content starved brochure like websites developed by most local companies and businesses. What is not commonly known is that SEs are advanced for local searches. This then means that one can search for information, products or servic... more...

Internet Marketing » Search Engine Marketing | By Konrad Braun @ Monday, 23rd June 2008 @ 7:20 PM

Depending on what your personal wants and needs are you can market your site from FREE to thousands of dollars or even more than that. In my opinion the phrase "you get what you pay for" doesn't always work in this situation. There have been times where Ive done it for free and have gotten terrific results, and there are times I was wrangled into doing it because there was some sort of an "internet special" and I paid a few hundred for it and didn't see any results. ... more...

Internet Marketing » Search Engine Marketing | By Jerry Work @ Friday, 13th June 2008 @ 6:37 PM

There are some important lessons to be learned from the presidential primaries that relate directly to search engine marketing: 1. Successful search engine marketing requires diligence. 2. You must make the most of the visits to your web site. For example, in the Democratic primaries, Barack Obama ran an ongoing paid search campaign so that his marketing message was constantly seen. Hillary Clinton, on the other hand, ran ads sporadically. Obama consistently collected names, ema... more...

Internet Marketing » Search Engine Marketing | By Todd Herman @ Saturday, 31st May 2008 @ 1:57 PM

Provide valuable free content on the site. If you are selling fishing equipment, no matter how vast an inventory you have your website can't succeed if it is merely a catalog. That's just not good web development marketing as people will only visit when they need something. This is why it is important for the site to contain a ton of free content that will make people visit frequently. This content could include blog entries, articles, pod casts or media files dealing with all sorts of... more...
