Radiation therapy's goal is to hit a tumor with enough radiation to kill it while minimizing exposure to surrounding healthy tissue. You may have heard some alarming health news recently, about how working the 'graveyard shift' may increase your odds for developing breast or prostate cancer. Cancer slowly seems to be eating away at our population. It is if everyone either knows someone who has passed from cancer or know someone who currently has cancer. If you decide to do an alternative program either concurrently with your conventional program or solely by itself, I would take a few steps before discussing it with your oncologist.
