A new study published in the September 2008 issue of CANCER from the American Cancer Society, has determined that as many as 69% of men receiving hormone deprivation therapy, a widely used treatment for patients with advanced prostate cancer, may experience detrimental effects to their cognitive abilities. According to Dr. Christian Nelson, there is strong evidence that hormone deprivation therapy is linked to "subtle but significant cognitive decline in men with prostate cancer". more...

In July, 2008, British researchers claimed to have won a major victory for prostate cancer treatment. Basal Cell (often misspelled as Basil) is arguably the most common form of skin cancer in the world. Oral cancer strikes an estimated 35,000 Americans each year. In 2007, 25% of those diagnosed with the disease, died. In fact, more people die from oral cancers then either melanomas or cervical cancer. The use of tobacco and excessive alcohol is directly linked to developing oral cancers.
