The State of Science Fiction on Television
Recreation and Leisure » Entertainment » Television | By Stephanie Foster @ Monday, 21st April 2008 @ 2:52 AM What's the state of science fiction on television? I'd have to say overall, just amazing. Consider some of the shows we have available right now. Battlestar Galactica. Lost. Heroes. So many great shows that have captured the imaginations of people who once may have claimed to have no interest in science fiction. Okay, so probably some of them still say that. People can be funny that way. It's not all rosy, of course. I've never understood how the SciFi Ch... more...

A Television Show Worth Talking About
Recreation and Leisure » Entertainment » Television | By Jim Williams @ Thursday, 3rd April 2008 @ 2:04 AM Five months ago, I purchased a new HDTV because my old one finally decided to stop working. I was flipping through my new fancy high definition stations and found A&Es show Intervention. I have been hooked every since. I think the main reason I am in love with this reality show is that I am a reality show junkie. If the show is about the drama of other people, I will watch it. Intervention is just that on a whole new structure. This is not a show with some worthless girls o... more...

The other wonderful thing about it is I don't have to pay anything extra for my high quality picture channels. I recently bought an ... more...

Convincing Family Members To Upgrade To HDTV
Recreation and Leisure » Entertainment » Television | By Jim Williams @ Tuesday, 1st April 2008 @ 4:22 PM I have been trying to convince my aunty for months to give up the antenna on her roof and switch over to satellite. She is not hurting for money and cable television would really help her fill up her day while she is at home taking care of her mother. She does watch TV but she watches the same channel all day long. I keep informing her of all the cool things about HDTVs and how she could easily change out her old antenna and replace it with a newer antenna, which would give her higher... more...
