It's generally agreed among most fans of RPGs (role-playing games) that one of the greatest games of all time in terms of story and innovation was Final Fantasy 6. Released as Final Fantasy 3 in the United States in 1994, it is most arguably the best game in the entire Final Fantasy series due to its wonderful soundtrack, storyline, detailed graphics (compared to other games released around the same time), and characters. The story isn't the most original plot line in the world... more...

Today, with more accurate design and manufacture, including the use of computers to design and model some of the more intriguing puzzles, there is a very wide range of puzzle types, which range from mildly intriguing to downright devastating. Many of these puzzles are made from quality materials, such as wood or metal, which helps for a nu... more...

In Dec, 2007 Microsoft has three basic versions of the Xbox 360 console: the Xbox 360 Arcade, the standard Xbox 360 and the Xbox 360 Elite system. The base system is the same for each with added benefits to enhance gameplay and media enjoyment for each different console bundle. The Arcade version has limited storage for arcade games. It would not be gamers first choice for a video game console. The standard Xbox 360 has a 20 Gb hard drive, which is sufficient storage for games and a few s... more...

Recreation and Leisure » Entertainment » Games | By Ant Onaf @ Friday, 23rd May 2008 @ 8:19 AM

Playstation have come a long way since their first console offering back in 1994. Back then gamers were content to compete against a maximum of one other player (short of physically connecting two TV's and consoles via meters of cables) in a clammy 32 bit environment. Now with the advent of the Playstation 3 (or PS3 as it is affectionately known) Gamers have been opened up to a new vista of opportunities contained within this one console. The PS3 transcends being labeled as just a co... more...

Visit any video game outlet and you are bound to get overwhelmed by the hundreds of choices available especially if you're new to gaming. Interestingly, children and teens seem to know their way around these places as if they were their second home. But for the adult, the typical video store looks like some sort of color paint explosion and sooner or later, all the games start to look the same. This guide is for the adult who's buying a game for a younger person perhaps as a birthday g... more...

Recreation and Leisure » Entertainment » Games | By Chris Copeland @ Wednesday, 9th April 2008 @ 8:23 AM

For almost three whole months, all I ever heard was "can we get a Wii, please?" You see I have a family of three kids and the oldest even had the little one begging for it. I hesitated for a long time as I didn't want them simply laying around a TV all day with a little controller in there hand when they could be outstide having real fun instead. Before long, Christmas rolled around and that's when we decided to go ahead and get a Wii console for the kids as it would still let... more...

High Definition Video Game Playing
Recreation and Leisure » Entertainment » Games | By Jim Williams @ Wednesday, 2nd April 2008 @ 12:53 AM

What I am going to begin off on with my "Call of Duty 4" multiplayer review is how well the game looks on a HDTV. Firstly of all if you have utterly no thought how to play games in HD, then I'm going to inform you how. The firstly action you do is go out to the closest Best Buy or Circuit City and pluck up a HDTV. It doesn't have to be the largest thing they have or the smallest, just get a mid sized or one you feel comfortable with in your accommodation. The... more...

Baseball a fun game starts the season with our President throwing out the first ball and saying 'Let's Play Ball', and the games begin. This is a known tradition that happens every spring at the start of a new season. Playing games is fun and many games have a tradition that we do before we start to play. Now that we are able to play games on the internet, many of these traditions are no longer applicable. The traditions now replaced by the gamer creating cool names and a... more...

Recreation and Leisure » Entertainment » Games | By Geoff Morris @ Monday, 17th March 2008 @ 4:41 PM

Beware - this is one of the most addictive, and long playing games yet from uVme. As soon as a I saw it, I knew I would become addicted. Play it once , and you will see what I mean, Then, try and get a good score as soon as you can - its not as easy as it looks. Brick Jam is an energetic game to play when you want to destroy everything on your screen. This game is reminiscent of many early computer games and is a blast to play against others when you visit the uVme game site. In... more...

The Xbox 360 Gaming System - Is It Still The King Of The Hill
Recreation and Leisure » Entertainment » Games | By Gregg Hall @ Friday, 11th January 2008 @ 2:19 AM

The new Xbox 360 system is the next thing in video games of today. You can still play regular Xbox games and watch DVDs on it but it is so much better then the regular Xbox for many reasons. I first bought the Xbox to play games like Madden Football and Metal Gear but once the came out with the first Halo I was really hooked so needless to say when the new Xbox 360 came out it was a must have video game system for me. If you are serious about your gaming you will want to upgrade some of ... more...

How The Games Of Today Give Us A Glimpse Of Future Gaming Technology
Recreation and Leisure » Entertainment » Games | By Gregg Hall @ Thursday, 10th January 2008 @ 2:30 AM

I think games in the future will be even more realistic then the games we already have with our Xbox 360s and Play Station 3s. Microsoft and Sony will more than likely come out with something even more insane like a virtual game or something and that would be the game of the century. To have a virtual game that you put on but still used an Xbox or Play Station and you played shooting games like you play online today. I think that would be the best game to come out ever. If you just though... more...

The Wii - Is Nintendo Onto Something Here?
Recreation and Leisure » Entertainment » Games | By Gregg Hall @ Wednesday, 9th January 2008 @ 1:59 AM

The Wii is probably a lot of a better choice then the Playstation 3. It has better graphics and the controller in which you use is like no other controller I have ever seen. It is small yet lightweight and can be used to play a lot of different games. This game system is an innovation in the industry in my opinion. The way that it gets the player physically involved in the game is the future of gaming systems. I think that all gaming companies are going to be working on developing virtua... more...
