When Michael J. Fox first became a hit character on the television sit com, Family Ties back in 1982, it was a smashing success. It ran until 1989. Fox played Alex P. Keaton on the show. For anyone who watched the 1980's sit com, Bosom Buddies, it should have been obvious that Tom Hanks, who played Kip Wilson, was destined to become famous.
