The Beauty of Italian Charms

Italian charms are beautiful and make lovely charm bracelets. Unlike traditional charms that dangle from a bracelet, Italian charms are flat and hook together. They come in a variety of types, so every wearer can customize his or her own bracelet.
One major advantage to Italian charms is that since the charms don’t dangle, the bracelet doesn’t make a lot of noise. Charm bracelet lovers often complain that it’s difficult to work wearing their charm bracelets. They jangle and rattle and disturb others. The charms also often get caught in things, such as clothing and computer keyboards.
Since the charms in an Italian charm bracelet are flat, the bracelet doesn’t get in the way. You can wear these charm bracelets to school and work without causing a disruption. In fact, many sports stars wear Italian charm bracelets because they don’t get in the way.
Italian charms come in many varieties. Some are simply metal squares with writing and designs etched into them. Other charms have lovely designs or pictures painted on them. In all cases, the charm hooks together with other charms to form a bracelet. Most Italian charm bracelets have 18 charms hooked together. The great thing about these bracelets, though, is that you can add or remove charms to make the bracelet fit your wrist.
You’ll find Italian charms made of various materials. Often, the plain square is made of stainless steel. Then a decoration is glued or soldered to the top. The decorations may be made of gold or sterling silver. They may or may not have gemstones or other stones added to them. You’ll find Italian charms with a variety of pretty decorations added to the top.
What’s fun about Italian charm bracelets is that everyone’s is different. You pick charms to add to your bracelet that have meaning to you. You also can personalize your charms by adding photos to them. Photo charms have small frames attached to the charm squares. A picture is then put into the frame on the charm. Some charm companies will do this for you. All you have to do is send them your picture. They will resize and crop the picture, and which is then added to the charm. Photo charms are a lovely way to personalize your bracelet.
You also can have someone’s image engraved on your charm. Some companies will do this for a small charge. As with the picture charms, all you have to do is send in a picture of the person you want on the charm. The company will then scan the person’s face and it will be engraved on a charm.
Regardless of the decorations on your charms, they’re bound to be lovely. Because you can personalize it, an Italian charm bracelet makes a wonderful gift for anyone.
