How to Market Your Business Using Social Networking

Recently, I was doing my normal marketing online in forums, blogs and many other strategies to allow others to know about my online business.

Surprisingly, of all the marketing strategies I used social networking in weekly dinners that I attend at networking dinners gave me a chance to even know more suppliers and customers who are interested in my trade more effectively and faster.

The reason why it was faster because I was able to communicate directly to the person which give the personal touch and feel of the person if he is trustable. Most of the time, people in networking events or barter exchanges are more then willing to exchange contacts to work together.

What happened to me recently, I was dealing with corporate gifts and I got a better response from socializing with some companies social networking in networking events. It did not cost me much but I found it to be quite effective to market my business and also to find partners who are willing to do business with me.

This is what you can do if you want to start a business without any products.

1. Get to know people in barter exchange events and networking dinners.

2. Exchange name cards

3. Give them a call to ask them if they are interested to widen their business on the internet and work something out from there

4. Always think win-win in order to have a successful deal.

Some companies who just started out with retails stores who do not have any online website would be more then willing to give you their products to sell them online. The business term we call it would be consignment.

Once you managed to get the deal, do make sure the consignment is stated clearly what are the terms and conditions to distribute the products.

The key to this is you want to soft sell yourself to your suppliers and customers so that you can build creditability with them and do more future business with them.

Also, it is very important after you have talk to so many people and got so many contacts. You have to follow up with them regularly.

There are various ways you can follow up, via email invitation to view your products, sent your catalog to your customer, call them up for an appointment to further exchange ideas.

During any conversion, be as friendly as you can to your target customer or partner to be and always come out of the meeting with a win-win solution for both of you and you be successful in time to come.
