It should be your top priority choosing a babysitter who will take good care of our children. It is always advisable to obtain suggestions from other parents before you look out for a nanny. You should be cautious while checking the references while choosing a babysitter. Talk to those families who have employed the babysitter before and contact all those people whose name appears on the reference list.
When choosing a babysitter have faith in your gut feeling. Do not employ a person if you do not feel right about her. Do you think your kid would be comfortable around a babysitter whom you don't find right?
Always opt for choosing a babysitter who is above the age of sixteen and should show sense of rationality and maturity.
Usually, babysitters do not need any requirements. However, it would be helpful if the baby sitter knows about child development and first aid.
After choosing a babysitter and prior to leaving your kid with the babysitter, you should get to know and speak to her about your kid. Tell her important information about your kid like when are meals served, things your kid is fond off or hate, methods to comfort your kid and time for bed. Inform your babysitter regarding the kinds of computer games, video games or television channels, which you allow your kid to play and watch. Let the babysitter know the duration your kid can play or watch the games or programs.
Give a phone number where you can be reached when an urgent situation arise.
In order to satisfy your mental peace, investigate before choosing a babysitter so that you know that you child is in capable hands.
When choosing a babysitter ask for training as well as experience and other requirements of the babysitter.
It would be a good idea to call up the names provided in the reference list.
Ensure that the babysitter recognize those people who are allowed to collect your kid.
If your kid is very small or they are infants then they will not be able to inform you about the things that happened when you were not home. It's the same for children who are a little older and who can speak. They too might not be able to give proper details.
Pay attention to the alterations in the mood or conduct of your kid. If your kid has been bruised or injured in some other way then ask your babysitter about it.
Pay attention to your child's conduct or mood, which may signify that he is not settled or happy. Fire the babysitter right away if you think that your child has not been given proper care and guidance.
You can always call up the child protection team, local social service department or cops if any severe condition takes place.
