Everybody wants to have and wants to see a white smile. This is the very reason tooth whitening products are unavoidable these days. No matter where you look, you will see a television commercial, a store display, a large billboard, a radio message, or a printed ad constantly trying to sell the brand that they support. Every company claims they have the newest and the greatest teeth whiteners.
Out teeth is one of the most visible parts of our body, unless you cover your mouth all the time. They are constantly seen by people anywhere and everywhere you go. This is why we go to great lengths to take care of them and make sure that they look as good as possible.
It is no surprise that products like teeth whiteners are a big business these days. The reason behind this is that we bombard our teeth with every substance we want to put inside our mouth and get it dirty and stained. Some of these substances include sugar filled diets that cause cavities, your favorite coffee which stains the teeth and your cigarette if you are a smoker. Sometimes we wonder why these whiteners are not doing any difference; it could due to the fact that we do not watch our diet as well. So before embarking into doing some serious teeth whitening activities or treatment, make sure you also control your intake of these substances.
The cheapest whiteners you can find in the market are the whitening toothpastes. They combine the effectiveness of hydrogen peroxide and other chemicals to the regular contents of your toothpaste. These toothpastes are more effective in maintaining your teeth color than making them look lighter. They work mostly to remove debris and dirt.
The next step up in your selection for teeth whiteners is called the whitening strips. These strips are put inside your mouth, fitting your teeth, usually almost unseen which will just dissolve after some time during the day. They are more effective than toothpastes since they can get your teeth whiter by more than a shade or two.
The one that is considered my many to be the most effective over-the-counter teeth whitener is the tray variety. This is done by filling a molded tray with a bleaching solution and then leaves it inside your mouth fitting your teeth, for a period of time. This is the most effective way considering that you won't be going to your dentist for a treatment. This will brighten up your teeth for more than 4 shades.
Laser activated bleaching is the most powerful way of teeth whitening. This can only be done in your dentist's office and this process can turn the most stained teeth into a very nice smile. Results can be seen in the very shorter period of time compared to the other methods mentioned. Check out all these available options that you have, make sure you understand each one's process and contents so that you will be able to use the kind of teeth whitener you really want.
