Review of IQAir HealthPro Compact Air Purifier

There are new models of air purifiers launched regularly by different companies. Of these most models are based on the HEPA filtration as they are the most effective and also the most in demand. However, some series become extra popular for their effectiveness and service. The IQAir Health Pro is one such series.
The IQAir HealthPro Compact air purifier is built specifically to deal with the problems of mold spores, pollen and pet dander. A graded down version of the original HealthPro model, this version cannot be upgraded to be effective against odors. It is there just to deal with particulates.
This belongs to a series of purifiers which is arguably the most advanced of all air purifiers in the world. The purifiers in the series can be used both for homes and for offices. These are the only domestic air purifiers which come with the advanced HyperHEPA technology . generally purifiers with hyperHEPA filters are only used in cleanrooms and hospitals where the quality of air is of utmost concern. Of course this makes the IQ air purifier much more effective than conventional air purifiers when it comes to removing particulates including allergens and dust from the air.
The efficiency of the air purifier is further authenticated by Germany's consumer foundation which rated the HealthPro as the most effective air purifier for all those suffering from allergy.
The IQAir air purifiers come with a pre-filter and a HEPA filter. To avoid excess noise from the fans it has a special design which has large fan motors. This means that the IQAir model performs more effective cleaning producing much less sound than conventional HEPA purifiers. The fan also has six speed settings.
The filters have a long life before they need to be changed. The pre-filter has an average life span of 6-18 months while that of the HEPA is anything between 2 and 4 years. The filters are also easily replaced and does not require you to use any tools or unassembled the entire purifier.
There have also been suggestions that the purifier emits small portions of ozone when it is operational. Now, that can be a serious threat for someone suffering from chronic respiratory disease. It would be ideal to consult the family physician before you decide on buying this purifier. It has been seen that plants placed near the unit were affected.
The purifier also comes with a healthy warranty period of 5 years.
Overall the IQAir HealthPro is a pretty decent air purifier and if you are troubled by allergies you can definitely consider this model.
