The Japanese Honeysuckle has come from Asia, mainly form Japan originally, but it is widely spread in the U.S., especially in Illinois. Flowers are tubular and they bear small black fruits. The vines can wind around any plant and could climb up to a canopy. The aroma is charming and the sweet nectar is edible, a parasite sometimes, that grows between April and July. Japanese Honeysuckle is used in various recipes too.
Hummingbirds love them, Coral Honeysuckles are also known as Trumpet honeysuckles or Woodbine honeysuckles. These blossoms look similar to trumpets and have coral red or orange colors.

Tuberous, summer, and autumn blossoming plants, Dahlia flowers come from Mexico; it is the national flower there. The Hippeastrum lily are tubular and are available in colors such as red, white, orange, yellow, pink and rose.

An interesting legend in Greek mythology leads to the name of the flower, Hyacinth. Apollo loved Hyacinth, a handsome lad. It is believed that God threw a disc that killed Hyacinth accidentally. Another myth says that wind God Zephyr intentionally threw the disc to kill Hyacinth, out of jealousy. However, a flower of the lilium family formerly, sprang out from his blood, which was named as Hyacinth. White, pink, peach, blue, wine purples, orange are exotic colors that exist.

Horticulture has gained momentum from the time flowers including all vegetation were a discovery. The beauty of Nature in her various manifestations has always been alluring.
