Regular Cleaning Cuts Down On Bathroom Water Rings And Residue

Today the homemaker in the family can just as easily be the dad as iy is the mom. Parents are often sharing the responsibilities of running the home because they have to share the responsibility of working to provide the finances needed to support the home. In some cases the dad is now the one who stays home and must do all of the things that always used to be considered work for women because the wife might have a better job. There is certainly no shame in that because any stay at home mom with children will tell you homemaking is one of the hardest and most under paid jobs ever. It is a twenty four hour a day job that rarely gives you a vacation.

When homes used to be equipped with only one bathroom and had several children in the home, it probably was not as hard to keep it clean. Thank goodness most homes still only have one kitchen to clean. In homes today, it is not uncommon to have or even three bathrooms that have to be cleaned on at least a weekly basis. If you are the primary caretaker of the house, you might have two choices as to getting this undesirable task done each week. Choice number one is cleaning every bathroom in the home by your self, choice number two is enlisting the help of the kids in the house if they are old enough.

While you might not want your kids using harsh bathroom cleaning products, you can let them help keep things in the bathrooms neat and tidy. If they are made to pick up their dirty clothes and towels and return their toothpaste and tooth brushes to their holders, this will make the rest of your job easier.

If you have multiple bathrooms, keep individual cleaners in each bathroom where they can be got to easily without having to cart cleaners all over the house. OF course, when you have small children you should always keep toxic cleaners out of their reach. Do not wait for a once a week cleaning to touch up the bathrooms. Nasty water residue or rings can form on the bathtub, shower stall, and sinks quickly when they are being used by multiple family members each day. Spray them down and wipe these surfaces a couple of times a week to prevent build up. Keep a toilet brush close to the toilet and give it a quick brushing out a few times a week with a cleaner.

You will be surprised how much time you will save from heavy scrubbing and cleaning when you routinely wipe and rinse these surfaces frequently. When you have hard water, it can be difficult to keep ahead of the stains that the elements in the water leave behind. Not allowing them to build up in t the first place is much easier cleaning.
