Do You Want Your Ex Back By rodrigo rehn
So many people find themselves wanting their ex back after the relationship has ended. How many times have you wished that you could just go back in time and be with someone again? Have you imagined yourself getting back together with your ex and having that level of comfort and love again? Are you spending a lot of your time wishing you could have someone back while your life passes you by? We are all guilty of doing this from time to time, but generally if they are an ex, you should allow them to stay in the past, yet this is often easier said than done!
If you want your ex back you really need to think about why you want them back. If you dumped your ex and now you want to be with them again, why? Why would you want to be with someone who could not fulfill your needs in the past? Have the fundamental problems magically cured themselves? Are you forgetting how difficult the relationship was? If the relationship was not good enough to stick with when you were together, why would you want to be back?
Do you want to be with someone who dumped you? Why would you do this? It is a lack of self respect that would have you thinking that it would be acceptable to want someone who does not want you. There is nothing worse than wasting your time with someone who does not want you as much as you want them. A relationship should be reciprocal, you should get back what you put in and if they dumped you than it is not a relationship that you should be in now or in the future.
It can be difficult to move past a relationship that is over. You may focus on the positive aspects of the relationship instead of remembering why you separated in the first place. As time goes on it is easier to think about what you had and focus on the good things. In many cases we want our ex's back because they can give us the comfort and familiarity that we all want in a relationship.
In most cases, if you have broken up you should stay that way. When a relationship gets to the point where you are able to break up for any period of time, chances are it is not a relationship that is well grounded and you should learn from the relationship, the mistakes you both made, and move forward. Does this mean that you would never get back together with any of your exes? No, it just means that in most cases you are well advised to grieve the relationship and move forward.
