How Wedding Photographers Use Secret Moments To Tell The Complete Story By Christine OKelly
Couples planning to get married almost always give their wedding photographers a list of moments they want captured. Moments, such as the bride making the way to her husband-to-be, cutting the wedding cake, and the first dance, are important. The only problem is they only tell one portion of the story. The hidden moments that surround the event can fill out the story and even reveal hidden chapters that unfold throughout the day. All this comes from seemingly unimportant images.
Prior To The Ceremony
Couples should always include their wedding photographers in the moments prior to the official start of the ceremony to capture the important moments that are often lost. These pictures might include the bride and groom donning their finery and quiet moments spent with their best friends. While this doesn't sound like something to feature in an album, a bride's short, but distant look out the window or a groom straightening his tie while laughing at his friend's joke says a lot about the mood and feelings throughout the day. Even something as simple as the ride to the venue can hold priceless pictures. The emotions and thoughts expressed through these images are most important.
The other attendees at the event are also important to preserve in these images. After all, the friends and family make this day truly unforgettable. This could include two friends sharing an intimate moment, an anxious flower girl, or a mother and father looking at each other and remembering their own day. Without pictures of these moments, the images and meanings they represent are lost forever. In many cases, the new couple often misses these special moments completely because of their responsibilities and excitement of the day.
During The Ceremony And Planned Events
Expert wedding photographers will capture all of the pivotal moments throughout the scheduled events, but they will also put themselves in the perfect spot to capture the other things that go on around these moments. Imagine the value of a single tear on a father's cheek captured forever. An image of the bride whispering loving words to her mother or grandparents while enjoying a morsel of cake together are priceless. When capturing the story of a couple, the photojournalistic expert wants to live the day through the eyes of everyone at the event.
The Story Doesn't End At The End
The celebration and special moments don't always end once the new couple has left for the evening. In fact, wedding photographers often suggest covering this portion of the event for that specific reason. A friend's face covered in cake after a little food fight or a child who finally fell asleep on a chair are moments the couple frequently miss. Another priceless moment is the look on attendee's faces as the couple parts from the venue. Without these pictures, they miss out on them forever. In most instances, these require wedding photographers that know how much distance to keep along with the ability to be in the right place at the perfect moment.
Wedding photographers in Chicago and the rest of the world use their experience and skill to preserve the story told through various different eyes. This requires the professional to have an imagination and powerful curiosity to capture the images necessary to do this. You know the expert has put together the perfect album when everyone can see the pictures, learn a thought, or feel an emotion as they go through the images.
