To become an esthetician in San Diego you need to finish  certain required hours of study within the field. When you have finished the required study in San Diego you will then be licensed.An esthetician is a person that works on making people look more beautiful. They can do this through makeup or skin care.  This is a very varied field and there are many specialized areas. For instance, you could specialize in facials, or in hair removal, or in cosmetics. One of the benefits of being an Esthetician in San Diego is that the field is very flexible. There are lots of specialized areas you can go into, and you can work any number of hours you want. When you are looking for information on this field, all you have to do is look online. There is a lot of different information out there including a list of schools, salaries, and types of work that estheticians can do. How Long is an Esthetician’s CourseTypical courses can last about 1000 credit hours which is about a nine month term. But before you choose a school be sure you get the courses you are interested in and be sure that the school is accredited.  Check to see if there is financial aid, and what tuition and products you will need cost. These skin care courses are varied and include both theoretical and practical course work. Most students will need to learn certain things that pertain to anatomy, bacteriology, aromatherapy, skin cell treatment, makeup, massage, nutrition, skin diseases, etc. Once you have covered the necessary course work to be an Esthetician in San Diego, you will be ready to join the work force. Salaries in this field usually start at around $24,000 but can go way up. Don’t expect to have the most fabulous job in the beginning. You will need to start small to get the work experience you need in the field. While in school you want to do some networking to make sure you are placed in a good job. You have several options here. You can work as a skin care specialist, in a plastic surgeon’s office, a health care clinic, a resort, the entertainment industry, etc. The important thing is that if you are interested in this field that you get started as soon as possible, and you find the school you need to help you get ahead.
