Makeup And What It Can Do To Your Skin

If you are like most young girls and sometimes older women, you will use some kind of facial makeup. It is a known fact that all girls feel like they have to wear makeup to look pretty when they start to grow up. Is this really a good thing? In some ways it is, but in most cases it isn't.
If you use too much makeup and leave it on your face too long or even over night, it can damage your skin. This will cause blemishes on your skin or even pimples. The makeup sits on your skin, covering your pores that put the oxygen that your skin needs to stay healthy. When this happens, you will go out and buy something to clean your face with, and this stuff might make your skin feel like it's on fire. It might have some ingredients that could hurt your skin.
There are a lot of makeup products in the market today that are a lot safer than they used to be. We would put a base on our skin first, and then put on everything else and then put on a powder on top of that. All of this makeup would be so heavy that the girls were almost afraid to smile because they would feel like their faces would break. Sometimes they would put so much eye shadow on that, I'm sorry to say, they looked terrible.
The makeup of today is a lot lighter. Most girls don't even use a base or even powder. If you don't have a problem with pimples, don't put anything on your face that could make you start. If you do use makeup and you have had the same stuff for a couple of months, then you need to throw out the old stuff and buy a new one. If you don't wear that much makeup or don't wear it that often, this might get kind of expensive. Old makeup will cause your skin to have more problems than is needed.
Your old eye shadow and mascara can make you have eye problems, and you would have to go to a doctor to get rid of it. These are not problems to do nothing about. If you would leave them to run their courses they could make you lose your eyesight.
If you have a daughter that is starting to use makeup go with her the first time to buy her supplies so that she doesn't go overboard. Try to make her understand that she doesn't need all this to make her look pretty.
