These are valuable equipment that has a large capacity for holding vital information; therefore they need to be monitored round the clock. This is also a safer option as you can keep an eye on what the servers are doing and gain access to them whenever you need to. Furthermore they help with cable management, which can often be a problem with many server machines. These keep them together, making it easier to identify where they are connected and most importantly keep them tidy.
