One of the stages of a break up many don't pay much attention to is actually getting back together. In other words, after getting dumped, working hard to win back your ex, making the perfect apology and then being accepted back into the relationship.
It's the last of these which many ultimately fail at and that's maintaining harmony once you have got back together. There are several reasons for this but the most common is people just fall back into old habits after getting comfortable again.
In this article, we'll give you some strong tips in keeping your relationship together after being accepted back by your ex. Just think about this, after spending a lot of time and effort in winning back the person you love, you will have had to make some changes to your habits and routine but don't think this just stops once your back together. This is one of the stages of a break up you should not ignore.
Your ex has taken you back because they see a change in you. The reason you were dumped in the first place may may have been due to your partner simply getting bored with your habits and routine. Here are some of the things you could try to solidify the relationship this time around.
1. Put fun back into your relationship. Remember when you first met. You more than likely spent a lot of time together having having fun. Re-introduce this back into your relationship.
2. While being apart, you may have improved your grooming techniques and the way you dress. Be careful not to abandon these simply because you think the job is done when you get back together.
3. During the reconciliation period, you would have gone out on regular dates again. This ties in with the fun aspect but when you're re-united, make at least one night a week a date night.
4. Add surprises to your relationship. For example, leave love notes for your partner, send her flowers occasionally or buy him tickets to a football game. Buy them a gift occasionally without there having to be an occasion to do it.
5. Make sure you find up to an hour with each other every day. Really be genuine in wanting to know how your partner's day was and share your experiences as well.
6. In stages of a break up, the split is usually caused following constant arguing over issues. In your reconciliation phase, avoid dredging up any of these old issues. You've both made a fresh start with fresh ideas and plans. Leave the past where it belongs - in the past.
