You have finally agreed to go on a date with someone who has constantly asked for the pleasure of having dinner with you. This will be your first date with that someone and no matter how many first dates you have had in your life, you still end up having butterflies in your stomach. This feeling is of no surprise since going on a first date is just like going to a job interview - you have to be impressive!
As a woman, there are a lot of things you have to think about before going on that first date. You have to look and smell good and therefore, must choose appropriate clothing, perfume, and makeup for the date. You also have to watch how you carry yourself when you show up for that date since a man tends to be very critical on a first date. But these are just the superficial things that can be observed in first dates, there are deeper reminders you have to note of to have a blast during your first date.
Being yourself is by and by the most important reminder you must remember. And this is not just being your plain self; instead, it is being your best under any circumstances. Conversation will definitely be a part of a first date and it is advisable that you do not give out too much personal information about yourself and your past relationships. Put your best stories forward so you will be able to tell him about your sweet side minus all the pretensions.
While you can go on making yourself look good to your date by inputting stories about yourself, it is also recommended that you give him time to talk about himself while you listen intently. Being a good listener makes you more suitable to a man because it just shows that when you eventually get together, communication will not be difficult.
Having fun is basically the goal of a first date. You must not feel any pressure to have fun, just go with the flow and let the fun ooze out as the evening goes by. When you have fun, you are more likely to discover something about your date without having to ask him about it. A pleasurable first date will also leave both of you wanting for more leading to a second or third date.
If, however, your first date does not turn out as you expected it to be, don't automatically cross him out of your list. Give him another chance to prove himself because hastily deciding on the first date can lead to future regrets.
Finally, you should not risk your safety on a first date or for any date for this matter. Just because your date was introduced to you by someone you trust, he is still a stranger to you so tread lightly and avoid situations where you will be pressured into something you do not want to do just yet. Hopefully, these do's and don'ts of a first date will aid you to have a great time with your date.
