Is Your Smoking Vehicle Choking Up The World By Aydan Corkern
We all know how expensive vehicle repairs can be these days. If you drive a newer vehicle, you know that almost anytime you have a problem that needs attention it seems like it has to be hooked up to some diagnostic computer to find out what the problem is. Gone are the old days when your cousin, the shade tree mechanic, can look under your hood and figure it out without it costing you an arm and a leg. Of course, those shade tree mechanics might not have always been too reliable anyway, so maybe that is not so bad after all.
One thing you can be sure of is when you have a car that is putting out far too much visible or smelly exhaust is that it is not good. That one particular vehicle problem has not changed. There are actually laws in place in many or all states about this very thing. It is no longer acceptable to drive around in your automobile with toxic smoke pouring out of your exhaust pipe.
It is a little embarrassing for those of us who care to have to drive a choking, smoking vehicle in the first place. The vast majority of us would get the problem fixed as soon as we can afford to. Then there are those drivers who just do not seem to care that their vehicle is polluting the world at large. One vehicle that produces too much smoke is not a really bad thing, but in an urban area where there are thousands and thousands of cars on the road in close proximity, it can be really bad for others to have to breathe no to mention what it is doing to our environment.
Vehicle emissions are believed to be one of the leading causes of pollution in the world. We all need to be able to drive to get around to where we need to go, but we also need a cleaner planet to live on and cleaner air in order to keep breathing. Everyone who drives a vehicle should make sure that they are doing everything they can to eliminate as much pollution that their car or truck produces as possible. The other vehicles that must wait in line behind you at a red light or stop sign will appreciate it since the smoked up exhaust goes directly on them. You can always smell it even with the windows up.
