Distance Learning In the 21st Century

Learning has changed a lot over the past few centuries. During the middle ages, it consisted of learning what you could from the elders of the village and your family. Usually what you were taught only consisted of what you needed to know to help the farm or village. About 200 years ago, universities became more and more popular, and millions began attending courses on subjects ranging from chemistry to medicine. Schools became very popular in the 20th century, with children learning everything they needed to before going on to university. However, possibly the biggest change that has ever come for learning has been the internet. Before the internet, distance learning consisted in getting the course material sent to you through the mail, and handling it that way. With the creation of the internet, distance learning has taken on a whole new dimension. Now, you can instantaneously be in the virtual classroom, without ever leaving your home. You can learn everything you need to, and everything you would learn from typical university courses, while you sit at your home office desk. If you want to get a masters in leadership, then all it takes is obtaining an online leadership degree from a variety of institutions, including, which offers a variety of leadership courses including masters in leadership, leadership studies, master of science leadership and online masters in strategic leadership. The world has changed so much in the past 200 years, that it is not surprising that education has changed with it. Who would have though only 20 years ago that you could sit at a computer while you studied and worked on your course work, towards a degree. This has helped millions of people who live in rural areas to obtain the degrees in leadership they want to change their lives. Now they are able to get an online degree and begin working at a career they have always dreamed of. Many employers will even higher those with online degrees, just as much as they hire those with traditional degrees.The lines between online and offline degrees has been blurred and may be gone forever.
