The Right Message for the Right Medium

The Right Message for the Right Medium

Why do companies pay for brochure printing?

They want to generate interest in their company. They want to get people thinking about what the company can do for them, and how their life could be better if they were using a particular service.

This is the primary goal of most brochures that are made. They are meant to start those gears turning and hopefully end in a person deciding that yes, they do need to try out a new product or service. They decide their life could be better than what it currently is and your company is the place to help improve things.

That’s what we all hope will happen when we hand out brochures, at least, and if you know how great brochures work you can increase the odds of this happening for you.

One of the best ways of generating thought is by asking people a question. When someone asks you something most people immediately stop to consider what the question is. This doesn’t have to be a very deep question, or something difficult to understand.

But don’t think that just any question can generate a lot of thought. You have to know how different questions work before you start asking them, because some question won’t do you much good if you don’t use them correctly.

For instance a closed question isn’t really meant to get people thinking very much, because the answer is often very specific. If you ask someone what time it is, there’s really only one answer they can give. Yes, the question will make them pause to consider what time it is, but the answer is set and doesn’t require much more thought.

Brochure printing combines best with longer messages, and if you accidentally ask the wrong closed question at the beginning, you’ll close them off to everything else you have to say. That is unless your closed question guides them towards a certain answer.

An open question is quite obviously just the opposite. How was your day is a good open question, because it leaves it up to the person to answer in whatever way they feel. This can work against you as well if you want to keep your message focused. An open question might get a person thinking about something other than your brochure if you aren’t careful.

A leading question is just like an open question except that the answer is a little more guided. You’re phrasing the question in such a way as to direct the answer where you want it to go.

Different questions have different impacts and if you want to grab a person’s interest with your brochure printing and get them thinking you should research all of the best ones. You can’t get someone engaged with your marketing if you can’t get them thinking.
