When do you think is the best time to purchase patio furniture? You can always get furniture for your patio during any season at your local retailer, but if you wait and purchase them during the fall or winter seasons, you may have to shop online unless you live in nearly tropical weather.
If you have a tight budget, the very best time to purchase your furniture would be during the end of summer during the clearance sales. You will discover that the price of most outdoor furniture will be slashed nearly in half. But the problem with this is that you will have to deal with storing the patio furniture throughout the cold seasons. If you leave the pieces of your patio furniture out, the weather is will take its toll on them, and they could be ruined before you even get to make use of them unless you put good quality covers on them.
Another issue with purchasing your outdoor patio furniture on clearance is that they are many times sold as is. Even though the retailer may have a replacement policy on clearance items, they probably will not have another set to replace your defective outdoor furniture.
Patio furniture comes in all kinds of different styles and what you select will depend on your wants as well as your money. You must first determine what it is you want to put on your patio and what you will be using it for. Will you be dining outdoors? You can also add a free standing porch swing or glider if you need more seating for your guests or if you just want a nice place to relax outside with an iced tea and a good book.
Patio furniture comes in several popular materials. The material you choose should be something that accentuates your patio and the exterior of your home, as well as be durable and within your budget.
Some popular choices are wicker, wrought iron and aluminum patio furniture sets. You can also find patio sets made of wood, steel, or even plastic and recycled plastic. A best seller is a set made of wrought iron with tile or mosaic inlay on the tabletops.
