Jewelry has become that segment of fashion that is constantly evolving. Different styles come and go and then some get succeeded in making their entry back on the fashion scene. Now each season has its own jewelry trends and each era tends to be associated with a specific style and fashion approach that becomes the characteristic of that particular time period. Different eras went through their related jewelry trends like Elizabethan, Georgian, Edwardian, art nouvelle and art deco etc. there are certain current trends as well which are embracing the fashion scene right now.
Jewelry has become more of practical usage rather than a means of show off and status stigma. Earrings, rings, necklaces and bracelets have become an essential part of our daily wear and things like tiaras, pins and brooches have left out the fashion scene. Rings are still going the cocktail fashion. Platinum has become the most desirable metal for the rings besides for the engagement and the wedding rings. Clusters of different stones are a trend that is equally popular. Rather bands of different stones are in rather than bands of solid metals like gold and platinum.
Necklaces and bracelets are liked to be chunky and bolder. Necklaces with drooping pendants and bracelets with heavier designs are making their marks. Plain metals are used for these bracelets along with the stones work as well.
Nature inspired and romantic designs are in for all types of jewelry items like flowers, butterflies, hearts, rainbows etc. stones of unusual colors are getting in demand. Yellow is the color to follow be it in metals or in stones. Costume jewelry has provided the means to have great jewelry of inexpensive metals and materials. There are many stones which are simulated or laboratory made like cubic zirconia that are being used artistically and beautifully by the jewelry designers. These stones are available in a bright rainbow of colors that are well sought after as well.
The jewelry trends are being followed irrespective of age and gender. The key is to incorporate them skillfully with your apparel and personality.
