Foreign tourist are struck by the scale and multiplicity of Indian festivals that have evolved in the society.
In Hinduism, Dussehra Festival, Ganesh Chaturthi Festival of Ten Day, Navaratri, Diwali, New Year universally celebrated. Other many festivals that are celebrated in particular communities or geographical areas.

Buddha Purnima on the birth of Buddha. Krishna Janmashtami celebrates the birth of Krishna. Ram Navami celebrates the birth of Rama. Baisakhi celebrates the birthday of Guru Gobind Singh. Ganesh Chaturthy is the birthday of Lord Ganesha.
