Stretching Your Hannah Montana Costume Dollars

Hannah Montana costumes are expected to be the top choice for tween girls this year, just like last year. However, for many the economy this year has put a bit of a damper on how much we can actually afford to spend on one days outfit.
Although many prices for outfits are less expensive this year than previous years and some have already been put on sale, scrounging up thirty to fifty dollars for one days wear may be out of the question for many families.
You know that you don't want to disappoint your daughter as she has been waiting months to pretend that she is Hannah Montana, so what can you do?
Who says that her outfit can only be worn one day?
I'm not just talking about letting her show off her cool new look the days right before and right after Halloween, I'm saying make several plans to fit in her outfit during the next year.
There are other occasions during the year that your daughter can be Miley Cyrus' alternate persona. Let us explore a few ideas.
Girls love sleepovers. When your daughter plans a sleepover for her best friends have a "come as your favorite person" themed party. This way all the girls can dress up and put together a new outfit or they can all wear the outfit that they wore on Halloween. It doesn't have to be a fancy get together, just serve the usual chips and snacks that they love. However, it does put a new spin on their get together and will add a bit of extra excitement.
Have you thought about a themed birthday party? You can base the entire party about Hannah Montana by having themed party supplies like plates, cups and invitations. Your daughters friends can all come dressed up as Hannah or they can dress as their favorite pop star and take turns singing their favorite songs. You can purchase inexpensive small gifts like lip gloss or party favors and let the girls have a singing competition where each girl wins some type of a prize.
If your family dines out, let your daughter wear her costume. You can change the look a bit by not having her wear the wig that may have come with her costume and possibly let her wear pants or jeans instead of the leggings or skirt that came with the outfit. This will give the outfit a new look, yet she will still feel very special.
These are just a few ideas off the top of my head. I know that if you think about it, you can probably come up with many more. This way you stretch your budget a bit yet you still can become a star in your daughters eyes. Every time she wears her Hannah Montana costume, she will be smiling ear to ear and will make the cost per use, less. This makes both of you are very happy.
