If you are getting ready to potty train your child there is a perfect potty training package that can help you out. We all appreciate ways to make things simpler when we go to potty train our toddler.
Today, there are many videos and other training materials available designed to both assist parents and train toddlers in the fine art of going potty. Some of the more popular materials include award winning DVD's from Dr. Potty (called Potty Power) and I Can Go Potty (produced by a pediatric doctor) as well as other titles such as Go Potty Go, Potty Training in One Day (positively reviewed by Parents magazine) and many others.
Most materials are actually potty training kits that include both a video -- many times geared equally for both parent and child -- and reading materials that help with potty training your little boy or girl.
When you toilet train your child there are ways you can make it a faster process with all these wonderful materials. You can potty train your child in a short time by knowing the right steps given to your in a training package. These things help your child understand and learn how to control their body. Children really do want their independence and going to the bathroom on their own is a big step in the right direction.
Fighting with your child when you are potty training them is not the answer. Your child must feel like they are in control of the situation and fighting with them can hurt their self-esteem. Potty training takes time and patience.
You must wait until it is the right time to start potty training. This varies for each child and how quick they start asking about going to the toilet on their own. Some children start showing more interest than others with using the potty.
A potty training kit can help you to answer questions about when to start training your child among other things that are important to make this process easier for you and your child. It will teach you easier ways of making your child feel more independent about using the toilet on their own. It is wise to keep a close schedule with your child to help them get headed in the right direction.
Using the Potty Power kit can help teach your child all about going to the bathroom. This can help you to get them through this rough time of their life. You can use pull up diapers while potty training your child especially at night.
During the day, you should use training underwear for your child. This will give them a sense of feeling grown up and wanting to go to the bathroom on their own. If your child has an accident, avoid shaming them as this can hurt their self esteem and set them back in their training.
Just let them know that they will do better the next time around. If they do a good job of going to the toilet, think of some way to reward them for doing well. This is a big step for the child and a reward will make them feel like they are really accomplishing something.
