It doesn't have to be difficult, you just need a little bit of advice to get it done so that you present yourself in the very best light every time. Whether you are writing a personal ad for the first time or would just like to revise your existing one to present yourself better, there are some simple things that you can do.
Complete the Profile
One of the worst things that you can do for yourself when you are writing your profile is to leave it incomplete. A complete profile not only allows for people to get the most information about you possible, a completed profile also shows people that you are serious about getting to know others and that you respect their time and efforts through the online dating resource you are both using. Have your profile be complete and accurate at all times.
Be Honest
The worst thing you can do is lie about anything in your profile. If there is something that you would rather not divulge in your profile, just don't broach the topic. Allow for it to come up as you get to know people. Do not lie in your profile. Your profile is meant to allow people to get to know the real you, if you base your meetings with other people on lies you will have a difficult time finding someone that you could potentially build a relationship with.
Stay Positive

Your profile is your first impression to other singles. After you write your profile don't just post it, instead you should edit it for content as well as for spelling and grammatical issues. This is something that many people forget to do and it will only do you a disservice.
If someone sees your profile and they see a lot of mistakes they may think that you are not as intelligent as you actually are. Remember that intelligence is just as sexy as good looks to most people, so you want to come across as you actually are. This is why you should be sure that you edit your profile after each update.
