What Uses For Tattoo Transfers

Tattoos are one of the oldest forms of body art, dating back to the ancient Eurasian community during the Neolithic period. Tattooing was a way of symbolising religious beliefs, rituals and events. These were an artistic way of determining their firm belief and distinguishing authoritative figures. Some of the tattoos would be in the images of animals, words, symbols, letters and phrases. These were done using basic tools, namely a sharp needle and ink.

Tattooing is still considered a popular form of body art even now. However, this gained a negative public image when prisoners and gang members used this to mark their cell number or gang name. This caused feelings of uneasiness when people were seen with tattoos. Fortunately this image has changed with more people using this as a fashion trend. The more popular places for women especially are the lower back, ankle, shoulder and arm.

Tattoo transfer accessories were also developed for people to use their own designs to be tattooed onto their body. These can come as temporary transfer which can be used by both adults and children (as they are safe and washable); or they are available by designing the image onto a clear film for the tattooists to use as a stencil for when drawing the image on. When people decide upon getting a tattoo they give careful consideration on their choice of design as it is a permanent mark.

Some tattoo transfer accessories can come in the form of stick on tattoos that appear as if they are the real thing. These have become a favourite for people in the fashion world as it gives a perception of uniqueness and allows the person to stand out more. Celebrities have enjoyed using this to jazz up their look for the evening as a temporary accompaniment. This is applied using a brush and is normally painted on or stuck on using a special film material. These are also known as press-ons and usually require an experienced make-up artist to add this onto your skin.

People who get themselves a temporary tattoo often feel that this is a good way of adding character and personality. With temporary tattoos one can give out the illusion of fashioning a real tattoo and the advantage is that the person can easily remove the markings. For people who are indecisive of the type of patterns they would like, can change their minds over and again without having to go in for removal surgery.

Tattoo transfer accessories vary in price, from simple 99pence transfers to professional applications from a professional costing approximately 1000 pounds. Many celebrities opt for the latter mainly for social parties, awards ceremonies and other events. Major fashion labels and magazines have also adopted this trend for fashion shoots, front cover pages and catwalk shows. Some celebrities have also been spotted with temporary tattoos for film roles or advertisements.

Transfers are no longer something that can be found for free from one's own cereal packet, but are now a major subject of fashion fascination. The big trendsetters have been seen with various shapes and styles, to enhance their look and bring out the way they look in their dress. It certainly helps to make them stand-out from the crowd and draw in the attentions of the paparazzi.
