Getting Out Of Debt Dave Ramsey Style

Getting Out Of Debt Dave Ramsey Style

I love to read about making money, and any type of book on personal finance. I also love to read about getting out of debt, and also building wealth.

I believe in not using any credit cards at all, and paying off all your debts from smallest to largest. This is called the debt snowball, and once you get all of your debts except for the house you then invest your money in mutual funds and or real estate and build your wealth with the money you were paying to your debtors.

I personally think this makes a ton of sense and have already started my debt snowball because many Americans are paying 20 to 30 percent interest on credit cards, and if they did not have those payments it would free up so much of their income, so that they could start to build wealth.

You have to live on beans and rice, and not spend extra money until all debts are paid. That means no vacations, no eating out, no new big screen for the house. I like the way he puts it you have to live like no-one else so that one day you can live like no-one else. This means that if you will sacrifice now and get your debts paid off then you will be able to live a life of prosperity and wealth.

Getting out of debt has changed the way my family and I view money. Now, we only pay cash for everything and use no credit cards ever.

We also for the first time live on a budget and know where every penny is going. Now, we have clear financial goals, and are planning for our future. Before we just cared about making it through the month without overdrawing the account again.

If there is one thing that I have learned that anyone has the ability to be debt free and build wealth as long as you are willing to work and sacrifice. The question then becomes are you willing to sacrifice and go against the grain of what everyone else is doing, and apply action to your desire. If so, then you can be debt free, and you can have the peace of knowing that you owe nobody nothing, and that if something were to happen to you, your family would be taken care of.

Remember, the borrower is slave to the lender, and if you are borrowing money from credit cards, auto dealers, family members, then you are their slave.

So, break free and become debt free, and start to live the life you have always wanted to have.
