Depression has been linked to dietary habits. Vitamin deficiencies and hormonal imbalances can lead to depression. There are a number of dietary habits that can affect your mood. Something may be lacking in your diet.

A different diet may be your depression cure.

First, if you are very depressed and feel suicidal go to your nearest emergency room, or see your physician as soon as possible. There is a difference between clinical depression and feeling down.

Clinical depression presents with the following symptoms: feeling sad, lack of interest in things they used to enjoy, lethargy, sleeping to much or to little, eating to much or to little, having difficulty concentrating, feel hopeless, and thoughts of harming them self.

If a person has these symptoms for over two weeks, he or she probably has clinical depression. These symptoms significantly impair his or her ability to carry out daily functions.

A person that feels down or has the blues can be brought out of their sad mood for a minute by a joke. He or she is still capable of fulfilling their everyday activities.

Your diet can affect your mood. Fad diets why are they bad is because an unhealthy diet can affect your mood. Fad dieting or other poor eating habits leave you more susceptible to mood changes. Vital vitamins and minerals are left out with fad dieting.

There are different treatments for your depression cure. Clinical depression is usually treated with medication and psychotherapy. A change in your diet may be your depression cure.

Depression comes form an imbalance in your in your brain. This imbalance affects your mood or behavior. Experts say that a diet of junk food can lead to depression. Fad diets why are they bad is because diets deficient in proper nutrients can change your brain chemicals.

A depression cure may be a dietary change for some people. Some people believe that eating all natural foods will be your depression cure. Exercise is one of the best depression cures. Exercise has been shown to increase the brain chemicals that make us feel pleasure.

Many studies have been conducted with omega 3 fatty acids. Many of us do not consume the right foods that contain these fatty acids. The omega 3 fatty acids are found in fish, tofu, flaxseed oil, walnuts and soybeans.

Consuming a spoon of flaxseed oil may be your depression cure. Medical studies have shown that these acids improve mood.

There are many dietary deficiencies that can lead to depression. Stay away from fad diets and cut down on the junk food. If you feel unusually sad for more than two weeks, seek professional help.
