When you are planning your wedding things need to be done well in advance, especially booking the location because popular locations are getting booked well in advance. Most people usually plan to have their wedding approximately a year after they get engaged. If this is the case then you should start picking a date as soon as possible and then decide the location of your wedding. This should be completed within the first six to twelve months. Also in this time frame you should discuss the budget of the wedding with your future husband. It is during this time that you should also select your bridesmaid dresses as well. The same time frame will apply to those dresses if they need to ordered in. It would be a good idea at this time to start looking at clothing for your groom and the groomsmen. While it does not take a long time to have tuxedos ordered in it is always good to have it done in advance so there are no worries if things take a little longer than expected.
The last two months before the wedding is the time in which you should do the final touches on everything. It is then that you should order the weddings rings and have them engraved if you are planning to do so. You should order the marriage licence at this time as well to ensure that it will be ready before the wedding. Planning the rehearsal dinner and any other parties is necessary at this time so that you are not stressing right before the wedding. Planning ahead will ensure that everything will go smoothly.
