An Introduction to the Power of Magnet Therapy

Magnet therapy is a particular type of alternative medicine which has proved to be very effective because of its exceptional healing capacity. This is not a new invention and the records say that at the time of Cleopatra this therapy was quite popular and the same method is gaining popularity now-a-days.

In fact a magnet therapist was quite popular in the 1770s. It's been two hundred years now and till date you will come across claims which talk about the power of magnet therapy. This therapy has helped people with broken bones and sometimes it is so miraculously powerful that it can even improve the taste of wine.

Benefits of Magnet Therapy

The magnetic field is used in this method to treat various diseases. But you can go for this therapy only after the doctor suggests you to go for this. Some tests are performed on the patient before they are prescribed magnet therapy. The ailment needs to be diagnosed perfectly before they are treated with this. Sometimes they use the common tests like x-ray to know whether this therapy is going to work for the patient or not.

This therapy basically works the best on the injuries of soft tissue. According to the therapists and researchers, magnet therapy improves the blood circulation in the body of a patient. It increases the concentration of alkaline fluids and oxygen in blood. This can also cut down the amount of toxic materials which often get deposited on the walls of the blood vessels.

According to some people it reduces retention of fluids and relaxes the muscles of the body. The Chinese therapists feel that this method increases the flow of life in the body which they call Chi. This is the reason why the method is gradually becoming popular in the European as well as Asian countries like Japan, China, and India etc.

Dangers Related to Magnet Therapy

Magnet therapy is not at all suggested for those who have some medical devices like defibrillators, pacemakers, liver pumps or insulin pumps implanted in their body as this can hamper the normal functioning of these devices.

Sometimes the magnets can have negative effects on the normal body functions. You can feel dizzy and nausea because of the magnet therapy.

Women who are pregnant should stay away from the magnets as this can cause bleeding and other complications. Moreover this therapy is not at all advised in medically severe conditions as there are no solid evidences of the success of this magnet therapy.

Though this is not scientifically proved but it has been observed that in certain conditions the magnet therapy works. But before opting for this you will have to consult with the doctor to be on the safer side.
