There really is no such thing as bad website traffic. There certainly are different levels of quality of traffic, but if you get enough visitors to any site you can make money on the internet. This is even true with traffic exchanges!
I read one time about a person who said their goal was to have one of their pages showing up every second of the day somewhere on a traffic exchange. Needless to say this person was earning a full time income online because they were getting traffic numbers that were out of this world.
The reason we call traffic exchanges a lazy way to get traffic to a website is because it really does not require a lot of thought on a daily basis. You certainly need to put some thought into how you set up the ads within the traffic exchanges themselves.
However, once you get your campaign in place you can pretty much run on auto pilot. You can search for credits yourself, which earns exposure for your website, or you can purchase credits to have your website shown and not surf at all.
There are a couple of things that have been proven to work when it comes to utilizing traffic exchanges to get traffic to a website.
1. Promote your splash page or landing page. By putting the emphasis on building your mailing list you will capture names and email addresses for future follow up. Over time you can develop a very large list and make money promoting to it.
2. Join traffic exchanges that allow you to build a downline and earn credits from when they surf. The benefit to this is eventually you can have a self sustaining credit system in place just from your downline.
This does not require a lot of training on your part and it is very easy to recruit new members, because everyone needs more traffic. One of the best places to recruit new members is at other traffic exchanges.
Everyone is looking for more places to promote their business and you can sign up members for different traffic exchanges just by promoting your traffic exchange URL.
These are a few tips on how to properly use traffic exchanges to get the most results. It does not take a lot of effort on your part. Once you get your system set up, and operating, anyone can get traffic to their website with a little bit of hard work and tenacity.
