This camera has 10% more battery life than its newer version. Very compact in 5 x 3.7 x 2.6" and lightweight at less than two pounds.

With its 8 megapixel resolution, you will always shoot like a pro in Canon D350. It has fast shutter release and short blackout time. It also has continuous drive mode of 14 frames per second. This is retailed from $479 to $500.

Nikon D80

Compare to Canons 400D 10.1 megapixel, the Nikon D80 comes in the competition as dark horse with 10.2 megapixel and with same LCD display of 2.5. It has more autofocus system of 11-point compare to Canon 400Ds 9. Also equipped with new Image Retouch menu that offers D-Lighting, redeye removal, cropping, and image overlay. Using EN-EL3e, you can take as many as 600 shots with a full battery. In the market for $1000 - $1050
