Exercise bikes - Lose the love handles. By Dave Jones
That spare tyre around your waist is simply excess energy that your body has stored for a rainy day. See your body is amazingly efficient at storing excess energy as fat, it squirrels it away all over your body by filling your fat cells. Imagine your body like a car engine, it needs fuel to run, without it you are going no where. Unlike your car you can over fill on fuel, it would be like storing extra fuel in containers and filling your back seat and covering the roof in spare fuel. It'll get to a point where you can't move again.
The key to getting rid of this extra fuel is either drive further is a day so you have to use some of the containers up or don't fill the car so much and use some of the spare containers instead.
So what's a good way too burn up some of this extra fuel. Well by forming a new habit, set aside say 20 mins every day to do some exercise. An exercise bike is perfect for this, wheel it out turn on the radio and pedal away. By forming a good habit like this you will well on your way to success.
Most exercise bikes allow you too change the resistance, which allows to do spinning or slow with a lot of resistance. A good workout to start with is 20 mins. Aim to raise your heart rate to 60-70% of your max heart rate. This is found by 220 - your age, then multiple by 0.6 and 0.7 respectively. Some of the better exercise bikes have a heart rate monitor built which are two metal plates on the handles that sense your heart beat. Simply read of the number and keep it in the required range.
Do this everyday or at least 3 times a week and you will soon start seeing excellent results.
