Don't be scared off and say "I'm not a designer and I also can't afford thousands of dollars to hire one". These days if you look into website creation software and also free blogging software like Word Press you should have no trouble setting up a decent looking website in no time with very little cost.
Lastly you'll want to print yourself up some decent looking business cards to give out to people. Lots of people think that because they have an online business they don't need business cards but that isn't true at all. For less then fifty dollars you can get some decent cards printed up that will serve as your promotional tool when you're out and about in the town or with friends and people ask you what you do.
So don't get caught in the mind state of not starting your great online business ideas just because you think it will be too expensive. The truth is that it's not expensive to try out your ideas and promote yourself if it's done properly.
