War Of The Worlds: Mobile Technology

The current mobile phones market makes the cold war Star Wars saga seem like a game of conkers in a school yard. The top secret technologies are being flooded into the market and the mobile phone has morphed into an all seeing, all knowing hyperlink to every corner of the globe. When faced with such technological advancements it is all too easy to be baffled, this article cuts straight to the chase with objective reviews of three of the top models.

The price of most mobile phones really depends on what contract you have, as although the mobile phones are available off contract they tend to be astronomically expensive. The first phone we are looking at is the Sony Ericson W760i which comes with 3 mega-pixels, Bluetooth, GPRS, GPS, GSM, HSDPA and MP3 player amongst other fantastic features. The music quality is the main focus of the marketing and it delivers however it is so much more.

The Ericson does not have a 3.5mm jack where the Nokia N78 does. It also boasts many of the same features as the Ericson which is a testament to how little there is between many of the cutting-edge mobile phones on the market. The fault with the Nokia lies not in the features it possesses, but in the design of the handset and options. The interface is clumsy and features are frustratingly hard to access, also the music quality is inferior to that of the Ericson.

Finally we have the latest model of BT fusion, the BenQ E72 mobile phone. Not much has been heard of this model as the brand power is not there, so is it a dark horse? The answer is no. It pales in comparison to both the other featured mobile phones as it is too small to optimise windows technology, the build is cheap the features are inferior. It has 2 meg-pixels, Bluetooth, GPRS, GSM and a sleek thin handset, however fails to compete in the smart or mobile phones market.

As stated previously, there is not too much to choose between many of the top models so it is really down to preference. The Ericson is the best all rounder however lacks a flash o the camera, so if cataloguing your drunken escapades is of paramount importance you might want to choose the Nokia however for superior music storage and quality, the Ericson is for you.
