Steps to Cleaning your Washing Machine and Leaving it Sparkly and Healthy

Everyone these days has a washing machine in there homes, but a lot of people are neglecting to keep them clean. Most people think because it is a washing machine that it will clean itself, but this is not the correct state of mind. Cleaning washing machines is a very important aspect in maintaining your equipment. Just think about it this way, how much dirty items do you put in your machine? Clothes, nappies, trainers? Over time this can make your machine feel and smell very dirty. There really is no point washing your clothes in a dirty machine.

There are a few main steps that you should take when maintaining your machine, we will take a look at most of the solutions now:

Firstly and most importantly you should get rid of the grime that water creates on your machine. It works abit like a kettle; you know when you get all of the white lime scale and it all comes out in your tea? Would you like to see this coming out on your clothes? A quick win solution would be to get some boiling water and mix it with vinegar or lemon juice, although it might make abit of a smell that is easily cured with a nice bout of conditioner.

Next you should take a look inside the containment where you put the washing powder and the conditioner, as this can pick up a lot of grime in itself, you should completely remove this sector as place it into boiling water to de scale itself. While this is occurring you should gently scrub down your washing machine and check all pipes for wholes and cracks.

Finally when you have put it all back together your washing machine you should remember to keep it regularly maintained, by this I mean at least once a month. I have seen a lot of washing machines which break down especially newer versions, with all of the digital controls that come with them. People start complaining that there washing machines are breaking all of the time and then when you actually open up the filters you can be shocked at what you will find. Anything ranging from money to hair bands, and even little fluffy toys. These little bits always get into the machines by people not checking pockets or shaking off the clothes, so they all get spun around in the machine and end up blocking the filter.
