Aquarius rules over intelligence and originality and is one of the air signs. This tends to make the individuals who are born under the sign of Aquarius to be inventive, intelligent, and unorthodox.

In the human body, the Aquarius tends to control the shins, ankles, and the circulatory system, which may explain why many of these individuals suffer from allergies, cramps, sudden illness, and even from accidents when ever Aquarius is fully active on the charts. These individuals may even suffer from a variety of nervous disorders as well.
The colors associated with individuals born under the sign of Aquarius are silver, purple, aqua, electric blue, and electric pink. Their birthstone is amethyst, which is considered as being a healing gemstone that is capable of restoring and maintaining the mental equilibrium of these individuals. Flowers associated with these individuals are the gladioli, tiger lily, bird of paradise, and trillium. The symbol for Aquarius is a man pouring water, which symbolizes the consciousness of man. These individuals are stubborn and do not like any type of change, but most of these individuals are idealist who are independent thinkers.
These apparently contradictory influences work strangely well together in your Aquarian personality. When friends see you suddenly change course, or do something unpredictable, they probably do not realise you are acting on some quite practical, or advantageous course of considered action. You accept the substantial alterations in life as a challenge, but are quite averse to those small changes which can throw a spanner in the works.
