Can You Really Learn To Speak German In Less Than Three Months

There are a few German software courses claiming that they can teach you how to speak German in less than three months. Is this possible. Three months seems a short amount of time to learn a brand new language but most of these software courses are making the same claims. Is there any truth to this or is it just hype.
How to learn German in three months?
It's probably true that most language learning software courses will be sold to adults for adults because children learn languages in school. So if you are an adult wanting to learn a new language, can you learn to speak this language in three months or less? Well, first of all you have to decide how much study time you have per day and then multiply that by ninety. So if you can honestly study for one hour per day, over three months or ninety days, that's ninety hours of study. That's a lot of study time and a lot more accurate than saying learn in three months. Suddenly, learning to speak German in less than three months seems possible.
Self-discipline will help you achieve you goal
It's very important that you discipline yourself to study every day, if you do this, you will be speaking your new language within three months. To help you keep this discipline you could learn with a family member or a friend. You can also use iPods and mp3 players to listen to audio files that are always included with these courses. Basically you want to listen and speak German every day for a least an hour.
Learn in a group
As stated above, you could learn with a family member. In fact the more people you can get involved in this process the easier it will be. Groups of learners can be very beneficial for all members of the group. When you hear other members speaking German, it gives you a boost to do the same. You could also organise a speak in a foreign language night just to make things more interesting. If you're having a good time, learning to speak German or any other language becomes extremely easy.
Conclusion
If you are doing your part, putting the study time in and the course you have chosen is doing its part, and teaching you what you need to know then there is no reason why you shouldn't learn how to speak German within three months.
