Know ebay tricks before shopping online By Patrick Sia
While tactics are numerous but if you are asked to tell difference between two people selling the same product then you will point out pricing strategy to be the only recognizable difference between the two. The 'Few Dollars More' tactic It's not that you always have to reduce the price to draw buyer but understanding the psychology of people can work magic. In spite of setting the auction’s initial bid, if you offer the same product with few cents added to its projected auction bid & with a message saying 'Buy it now' then some fraction of people, who had been longing for the item would consider it to be an opportunity to get the product certainly without taking chance in bidding & losing. They actually don't mind paying extra to get what they long for.
The 'One Dollar Less' tactic This is easy, but requires an eagle eye on your rival. The moment they offer a 'Buy it Now' auction for the item you cover, offer your auction for the same item with price tag 1 dollar less than theirs. Any search for the product would bring both the results together & you'll stand higher chances for your '1 dollar less' price tag. The 'Free Shipping' tactic Consumers really don’t like paying for shipping. You can easily integrate the 'free shipping' title after adding the shipping cost into the main price. You would be surprised to know how consumers prefer to pay the final price (including shipping) for the 'free-shipping' title, instead of having shipping cost extra. Again the psychological factor, they pay the same final price at the end, but feel good that they did not pay an unnecessary extra cost for Internet shopping as shipping fees.
