Bedding Themes for Baby Shower Gifts

When buying bedding for baby shower gifts, the theme is an important consideration. The parent might have an idea of what the baby's bedding should look like. On the other hand, you may have free rein to purchase whatever suits you.
First of all, ask the parent if there is a theme for the child's room. The nursery might be painted with murals of furry baby animals. If this is the case, your speed car crib bumper pads would look out of place there. For a room like this, you might get a pastel set with little ducks or bunnies.
If the infant you are getting baby shower gifts for is a girl, you might choose bedding that is ultra feminine. Lacy, frilly bedding would be appropriate. Boy nursery themes are often more brightly colored and action oriented. Transportation is a popular theme. If the bedroom will be used for a set of twins or other multiples, you might want to get something that would work for either girls or boys. Often the sexes of multiple children are hard to determine in advance. Nursery rhyme themes are popular, as are colorful patchwork quilt designs.
Some baby shower gifts are pillow and throw sets. You can pretty much use whatever theme you wish with this type of bedding. Since it can be used when traveling, or in any room of the house, it does not have to match the nursery. You could get such designs as arks full of animals, garden scenes, or princesses in fairy tale castles. It is completely up to you to choose the bedding you like the best.
When purchasing baby shower gifts, bedding makes a fine choice. With a little consideration for what the parents have planned, you can get crib bumper pads and quilts that will match the nursery. If that does not make you happy, you can buy a pillow and throw set in your own choice of designs instead.
